We really enjoyed our visit to Portland and Jere's place was a perfect room for us to relax after long days of sightseeing. Jere was extremely nice and helped us with any questions we had. The bed was very comfortable which is a big must. The location was great and easy to get to bus stops. Even though there was ample street parking we dropped off our rental car when we got to Portland and were able to see the city on foot with the help of public transit. Will definitely try to stay here again if we end up back in Portland!

You can't beat staying at Jere's for the value. It's close to downtown and other points of interest, it's very comfortable, and she is a wonderful host who provided multiple amenities that she didn't need to. I would absolutely stay there again

This is a wonderful place to stay in Portland! A great neighborhood with good local places nearby. A quick ride away from downtown and the light rail system. The room was perfect! Very clean and comfortable place to stay. I highly recommend to anyone that visits!

Beautifully furnished room even had a kettle for us two tea mad Brits! The bed is super comfortable and I'd had the best nights sleep while here! The house is situated in a quiet residential area but super close to a bus into town. The up and coming Mississippi area is also nearby. If we are back in Portland we know where we are staying!

We had an excellent stay at Jere's place. Check in and communication could not have been smoother. The studio is a large, well equipped space and the neighbourhood is full of charm and character. If we're in Portland again we'll certainly look to see if Jere's place is free!

Jere User ProfileJere is a superhost.

My husband, two sons and I got this big house in 2009 so when I retired, we could rent rooms to travelers. I retired in 2013 from teaching middle school science and spent the summer traveling.
In July I went on the Trans Siberian and Trans Mongolian Railways from St Petersburg by way of Lake Baikal and Ulaanbaatar to Beijing with fellow geography teachers. In September my sister and I walked the Coast to Coast in the Lake District and Yorkshire National Parks in northern England, which I'm doing again this summer. Also, I'll visit Thailand and India later this fall.
I'd love to share travel stories with you.
Now I love to walk, hike and bike around Portland most days. Ask me about where to go when you visit. I have many maps and books about getting around Portland and the Northwest.
