This 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath Garrison vacation rental was originally constructed in 1929 and recently renovated to include an array of modern amenities and comforts. The ‘Yulin Cottage’ boasts a secluded, cozy atmosphere on 1 acre of land complete with an interior fireplace, sunroom, spacious patio, and charcoal grill! You’ll be within minutes of stunning valley hikes, and only a 1.5-hour train ride away from New York City!

The recently renovated 1,400-square-foot 'Yulin Cottage' maintains much of the original character and magic of its 1929 build, with added amenities and modern comforts! The home is surrounded by an abundance of towering trees, stone walls, and blossoming plants, which gives a storybook feel to this cozy, private abode.

Inside you’ll find exposed-beam ceilings accentuating thick plaster walls, perfect for keeping the interior insulated in any season. Gather around the coffee table to play a board game while the fireplace flickers, or step into the sunroom to read one of the provided books in the warmth of the natural light.

The fully equipped kitchen echos the home’s original design with Venetian lime plaster walls, a marble wraparound countertop, and a quaint corner breakfast nook. Begin your day by grinding coffee beans and brewing a fresh cup of joe in the home's french press. Large windows provide views of moss-covered stone walls and woodland creatures while you prepare meals, best enjoyed when served at the 8-seat dining table.

An original stone stairway and beautifully arched entryways lead to the spacious patio, illuminated by hanging string lights. Fire up the charcoal grill for an evening barbecue, or enjoy a leisurely walk down to the grassy yard to admire the home’s 1-acre plot of land, blossoming with apple and pear trees!

It’s an 11-minute drive to the Garrison Train Station, where you can board a train for the quick commute to New York’s famed Grand Central Station. If you prefer to explore the Hudson Valley itself, the home is less than a 15-minute drive from Downtown Cold Spring and Beacon, with the historic West Point just across the river.

An array of comforts surround the home, including incredible restaurants, galleries, antique shops, and farmers markets! Enjoy unique local events and exhibits nearby such as seasonal outdoor movies, the Shakespeare Festival at Boscobel House and Gardens, Dia:Beacon art museum, and the Storm King Art Center.
