Home is on a quiet, lovely street in one of the most desirable close-in SE neighborhoods in town. One block to public transit; 6 blocks to great coffee (Albina Press) and drinks ((website hidden)); minutes to Mt. Tabor Park, Hawthorne or Belmont, by foot or bike. Plenty of on street parking, directly in front of house.
My goal is to make your stay comfortable and hassle free. With a separate entrance to the apartment, you are able to come and go as you please. We do ask that you use common courtesy in regards to late night noise, as our neighbors are our friends, as we'd like to keep it that way :).
We are an active, health conscious family, and have a very strict no smoking policy. Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside or outside of our home.
We provide receptacles for garbage, recycling and compost and ask that you follow some simple guidelines in separating your trash. We will also provide you with some great guides/resources to local shops, restaurants, public transit and arts and entertainment. I'm available to answer any additional questions or address any issues that may arise during your stay. Other than that, we're looking forward to meeting you!
Dina is a great host! She was easy to reach and we could get settled in as soon as we arrived. The place is amazing! Superb location and everything you need.
The house itself is a little bit noisy but it did not bug us at all. We expected it to be a lot worse as you stay in a basement connected to the main house.
TIP: if you like dogs make sure you say hi to her pup! :)
We would def stay here again when we come back.
Wonderful location in one of Portland's best neighborhoods. A must-stay for fans of the Mt. Tabor area – Dina's home is located in a cozy, but accessible part of Portland. It's minutes from Mt. Tabor Park (gorgeous!) and dining/coffee/nightlife options in Hawthorne and Belmont. Overall travel time from Dina's flat to basically anywhere in PDX was minimal – whether by foot or car. Parking options plentiful for those with a car. My fiancé telecommutes and said the wifi was great.
Perfect accommodations – I would stay here again and again.
Dina was an excellent host -- perfect instructions with how to access the property and was considerate to offer her help if needed. It was a hassle-free exchange prior to our stay and throughout the duration.
This home's location and cleanliness are exceptional! Everything we needed was a short drive, walk, or bike ride away.
My stay with Dina was convenient and comfortable. The location was great for walking, bussing and getting to Mt. Tabor for a walk daily.
The studio was clean, organized, well equipped and the bed was so very comfortable.
I would describe this rental as minimalist, which is good. It had everything you needed and was very clean, I would say it was like staying in one of those rooms mocked up at IKEA. There was no microwave and no toaster oven, however there was a stove although it makes a beeping noise every time you touch a button which can be a bit noisy when trying to heat up a late night snack. Also, there was no television which was fine because there's far too many places to eat at in Portland to waste your time watching television :)
The neighborhood is very nice and has a park close by, Mt. Tabor Park, which we enjoyed.
This flat was the perfect size for us - family of 3 with a 4 year old. It was a nice and safe location. Both Dina and her neighbor greeted us with a warm welcome. For SoCal natives visiting Portland in January, Dina was kind enough to warm the flat for us ahead of time with the space heater. The flat is close to the Waffle Window... a must!
Dina was super easy to communicate with and very acommodating. When the internet was out, she immediately responded and fixed it. The apt is really central and convenient. It was a bit on the colder side, but there was space heater to help with that.

I'm a creative professional and the mother of two fun-loving kids who has been living in Portland since 1995. After spending a decade in New York CIty, pursuing a film and video career, I was lured to this city by the natural beauty, lifestyle, arts & culture and the other like-minded folks who've made Portland their home.
My time is spent juggling the joys and demands of work, my kids, my dog and good friends. I'm a creative and inquisitive soul who loves art and culture, outdoor adventure, good conversation and great friends. I adore this great city and look forward to sharing my intimate knowledge of Portland with airbnb travelers.
