If you're into history, the place is not only conveniently located near Lake McConaughy for outdoor fun, but is located near several historic sites associated with the westward expansion trails that traversed the area in the 1800s. Just minutes away is Ash Hollow's Windlass Hill, where you can still see ruts from the thousands of covered wagons that came through the area.
