Bright, cozy apartment situated on Pembroke Road, named after the estate of the Earl of Pembroke and one of the city's oldest and finest Georgian Streets, today part of the quiet and exclusive Ballsbridge suburb.
Although the apartment has two bedrooms and you will be alone in it, one of the bedrooms will be locked and not available for use by the guests.
The available room is exceptionally luminous, features a king size bed, a retro inspired decoration and a spacious wardrobe which makes this listing ideal for individual travelers or couples.
Upon request, we could offer an airbed to be placed in the living room to host a third guest.
The large window in the bedroom faces Pembroke Road in the heart of Ballsbridge, a safe, quiet and well-serviced neighborhood. The window in the living room faces a back yard.
The apartment is cozy, nicely decorated with a vintage flare and is fully equipped (see amenities section).
Car traffic, while never too dense, may cause a bit of noise in the morning or at night, but it's never too noisy and we can provide ear plugs.
The apartment has a bathroom (electric shower and sink), and a rest room with toilet where the boiler and the washing machine are found.
The living room is also very bright, has two couches, an armchair, TV, and an integrated, open plan kitchen with high table equipped with stools for informal meals.
You will have access to the whole apartment except for our room, which as I said will not be available or accessible as it will be full of stuff from our daughter.
Help yourself at the kitchen to tea, coffee, toast, jam, fruits, etc.
You will have plenty of room in a cupboard, available just for you.
Wi-Fi is available in the entire apartment.
Ballsbridge owes its name to the bridge that can be found only a few minutes walk from the apartment and was built by one Mr. Ball. Historically, Ballsbridge was part of the estate of the Earl of Pembroke, which used to encompass other neighboring areas.
It's an oasis of quiet just a short walk from city center. Despite its residential character, Ballsbridge is home to many of the embassies established in Dublin and has busy cafés, restaurants and shops.
The Royal Dublin Society (RDS), Lansdowne Road Aviva Stadium, Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and the rail and bus connections are within walking distance.
Across the road is "The Den" pub (at the Landsdowne Hotel), starting point of the 'Baggot Street Mile', a pub crawl which is also known as the ‘Twelve Pubs of Xmas Crawl’ and consists of having a pint in every pub ending at the O'Donoghues (Merrion Row) or The Horseshoe Bar (Shelbourne Hotel, St. Stephen's Green).
Walking distances to:
- Gas station: 3 min.
- Tesco supermarket, pharmacy, AIB bank, restaurants and other shops: 4 min.
- American Embassy: 5 min
- Grand Canal: 6 min.
- Lansdowne Aviva Stadium and railway (Dart) station: 10 min.

Javier's place was very comfortable and offered the ideal location for celebrating St. Patricks Day. The room was great and Javier made me feel at home. Thanks!
Javier and Gosia'a place was brilliant, and looked exactly like it does in the photos. The place is easy to find, on a major road right by all the embassies. There's plenty of places for breakfast just down the road, and the city centre is only around 15/20mins walk away. I can't express enough how lovely the hosts were, and made us feel extremely welcome.
I recently attended a conference in Dublin, and stayed with Javier. The room was clean and comfortable, I didn't spend much time with my hosts but they were friendly and very helpful and I would recommend them. It is a 20 minute walk into the centre of Dublin so very convenient.
It's wonderful to stay at Gosia&Javier's. The room is cosy and perfect for two. It's a 20min walk to the centre of Dublin. The apartment is located at the embassy quarter near good pubs and breakfast options. They welcomed us warmly and recommend the highlights of Dublin.
Javier and his partner were excellent hosts for our stay in Dublin. They were extremely welcoming and gave us some great tips on the area and had a very in depth knowledge of the city. The had also taken into consideration our interests and pointed in the direction of places that would suit us best! The accommodation was traditional and very comfortable, and the location was perfectly situated for access to the city centre - all walking distance! We would love to stay with Javier again when we next visit Dublin.
Javier & Gosia are excellent hosts. I had a wonderful time. The place is really nice and comfy, also the neighbourhood is great. I can definitely recommend!
I enjoy traveling, gigs & music, movies, books, vintage stuff, street art and football. I live with my other half, Gosia. Our favorite destination: anywhere is warm, beautiful and has good food to offer.
