The space
Welcome to The Lodge at Hills Creek; nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and tucked into the Willamette Forest, it is the ideal setting and accommodations for a vacation escape. Set on five acres, surrounded by mountains, trees, and trails, and close to the reservoir (with quick lake access --please note water levels fluctuate and some seasons might have lower levels), this private and intimate lodge is ready for your next getaway.

The Lodge at Hills Creek redefines what a vacation rental is meant to be: whether you plan on getting out for the multitude of outdoor adventures, or staying in to watch the dramatic views from indoors. Avoid the mosquito swarms you'd find at Odell Lake or Crescent Lake, at our lower elevation getaway.
We welcome you to bring your friends, family, or organization to The Lodge to hideaway in our Oakridge escape, enjoyable in all four seasons.

There are two master bedrooms, with attached bathrooms, and two loft bedrooms (with open ceilings to the living rooms), all carefully appointed with luxury and comfort in mind. A woodburning stove provides both ambiance and heat in the cooler months, while a central air conditioner gives comfort in warmer months. An open floor plan for the kitchen and living area allows for group engagement during meals and cabin time. The wrap-around porch is the ideal spot for your happy hour or morning coffee as you watch the mountain scenes and lake from above, while the kids and dogs play in the yard.

The location is the other half of what makes this property special: only miles from town and minutes from hiking and mountain biking trails (with trails on the property to explore too). We are less than an hour from Willamette Pass and Waldo Lake, and are surrounded by National Forest. Our place also makes the perfect base for those wanting a day trip (two hours by car) to Crater Lake.

Also provided:
-A gas grill to bbq
-A fully equipped kitchen
-Access to a private dock (water levels fluctuate due to it being a reservoir and water does not reach the dock)
-Brand new memory foam beds (all rooms), new pillows, linens
-Private trails on the property to explore
-Trail books and maps to plan adventures
-Sharp knives (something we appreciate when we travel)
-A fire pit (with season/fire ban appropriate)
-Laundry room

We also own the Hills Creek Hideaway vacation rental, a quarter of the mile down the road, which will sleep another couple wanting to be a part of the the Lodge but requesting more privacy.

Your friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you on vacation. We will send a request for an “extra service fee” for $25/per dog close to your arrival date. Failure to claim/pay for dogs, or follow pet guidelines, will result in a $100 security deposit forfeiture. All dogs must be socialized and non-aggressive towards humans and other dogs alike, and may not be left unattended in the house.

Guest access
The lodge, the outdoor space, a private deck on the reservoir (shared with guests of Hills Creek Hideaway), and trails on the property. Note: The water levels are managed by the Army Corps, so the level changes with the season and other factors beyond our control.

Other things to note
PHONE SERVICE/INTERNET: The cell signal is weak this far into the forest. We do what we can to boost the signal with a signal booster. Service can only be found inside the house and directly through the kitchen windows.
*Tmobile will not receive a signal
If you need a strong 4G signal, you will need to go to the dam about 1 mile down the road.
There is very weak WiFi.
*QUIET HOURS: We take our neighbor's happiness very seriously, and while we list as being available to host groups/events/etc. ALL PARTIES MUST BE TAKEN INDOORS AFTER 10:00 PM. While we encourage groups staying and enjoying themselves, this is NOT a party house.
Covid-19 precautions: We are closing/blocking out on our calendars 3 days after/before each stay, to give added safety to our guests and cleaners.

*A truly unique PNW experience.

*There are several houses in our forest community and therefore, we take our neighbors' happiness very seriously. This is not the house for you if you're looking to have a loud party.

Hi there! My husband, Rick, and I are both middle school teachers who love to travel, get outdoors, cook, and meet new people. We are quiet, clean, respectful, and make great guests or hosts. We decided to become Airbnb hosts ourselves because it combines those things we love, with the ability to share them with other travelers. We strive to create places we would want to stay in when we travel, and to provide quality rentals that make us proud. It’s our family business, and we can’t wait to share our love of the area with you, in one of our carefully designed and crafted escapes.
