The space
The cabin comes fully stocked with everything you need to have an extremely comfortable camping experience. Our goal is to think of everything so you don't have to. Most people say that so many things were provided, they realized they had overpacked.
--Queen size Memory Foam beds, twin futon, and twin mattress on the floor
--Fully stocked kitchen with one-burner propane stove, gas grill, or Instant Pot
--Hammock
--Fire pit
--Bluetooth speaker
-- Towels, sheets, soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, paper products, and some emergency toiletries in case you forget something
-- Follow us on IG @caserockcabin to see additional pictures and read about our building process.
--Dogs are welcome with NO pet fee. Please do not leave pets unattended in cabin.
--Not only are you enjoying the tiny house experience, you also have 105 acres of trails at your back door. You will enjoy solitude and the quietness of being far from your nearest neighbor. In order to reach the tiny house, we will pick you up and drop you off in a Ranger. All other trips back and forth are up to you.
--Cabin overlooks the river. Access to the river itself is about 200 yards away and is an easy walk.
--It is advised you bring food and a cooler with you with ice. When you check in, you should not plan on dropping your things at the cabin and then going out to dinner. Logistically this is difficult due to the length and challenge of the hike out to your car. We strongly advise you eat dinner before you come or bring ingredients with you to cook.

Case Rock is OFF-GRID. The cabin features:

--a composting toilet
--solar panels and an on-site generator
--non-potable water from the water tanks
--drinking water from water dispenser
--propane instant hot water heater
--wood heater with firewood
--push button start generator
--kerosene heater
--DC attic fans
--THERE IS NO AC. A battery powered fan would be a good idea. We provide two but you can always use more.
--THERE IS NO REFRIGERATOR. You should bring a cooler with ice.

Cell phone reception— Cell phone reception can be spotty. We have radio communication at the cabin in case of dire emergency. There is no Wifi at the cabin. You may use the Wifi at the main house in a pinch.

Refrigeration—There is no refrigerator, but we can help carry your cooler with ice to the cabin for you, and we sell ice at the main house for $5 a bag. We can also make ice deliveries for multi-day stays.

Kitchen supplies—Breakfast supplies (oatmeal and the fixings), spices, vinegar, and oil are provided for your stay. We try to maintain a stocked kitchen for basic cooking. There is no oven.

Breakfast beverages include:
Ground coffee
English breakfast tea
Splenda/sweet and low
Creamer
Sugar

--Float in an inner tube or kayak down river to the bridge, a 1-5 hour long trip depending on the current. We will help you transport your boat or inner tube to the cabin and pick you up at the bridge if we are available. This trip should only be attempted when the river is at safe levels. Sudden heavy rains can make the river unnavigable.

We ask that you sign waivers before you stay at Case Rock to make sure you are aware of the inherent, but unlikely, dangers you may encounter on the property.

Where you’ll be

Kimberly, Alabama, United States

You are located 30 minutes north of Birmingham, Alabama, a thriving city with a rich food and music scene. Its award-winning restaurants, killer music venues, museums, and shopping can keep you busy for days should you venture from Case Rock Compound. The main entrance to Case Rock Cabin is two miles off I-65, and two miles from the nearest grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy, and gas stations in the nearby town of Warrior. The real draw here is the Locust Fork River, which is an unregulated, scenic river good for fishing and floating downstream when the water levels are lower. The cabin sits high above the river, safely out of the flood zone, so it can be enjoyed even when the water levels are high. You can enjoy the sound and view of the river year round, as well as the surrounding 105 acres and all its natural features. Nearby you will find Rickwood Caverns State Park which conducts tours in its enormous underground caverns. Further north, you can rent kayaks and canoes and enjoy the whitewater sections of the Locust Fork River. Whether natural attractions or man-made, this area offers many reasons to visit.
