The area is steeped in history with many Cathar Castles and fortified towns.

How we found this place we were looking at another place in the same village. Then, this caught our eyes. Turned out we made a great choice. The entire house, three floors all to ourselves, say nothing as to the lovely patio area, a safe spot for our vehicle. Walking distance a bakery, a wonderful butcher shoppe, a small, however well stocked market. Then on the corner, you can purchase bulk wine by the jerry can if you need that amount. Now, Noeleen, hostess with the mostest. Our expectations were exceeded. Thank you our new friend Noeleen. Book, you'll thank us!
A wonderfully welcoming host, lovely accommodations, great setting. Highly recommended!
We are a 5 people family. We spent a wonderful stay at Noeleen's Old Winemakers. Noeleen is a thoughtful and delightful host, giving ideas and help. She found for our baby a bed cot. Her house is clean and very comfortable. The garden is a little gem! The children enjoyed and discoverd treasures in it :-) We had good time under the old winemakers. The region is very nice. Thank you so much Noeleen for your warm welcome and your kindness during our stay. We had wonderful holidays!
Frederique and family
My husband, children (aged 6 and 3) stayed at Chez Noeleen for two weeks at the start of July. The house is around an hours drive from Carcassonne airport. Noeleen was good enough to call us en route to check that we were able to find our way. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and offered a welcome glass of wine! The house is clean, comfortable, spacious and well laid out. The house also has wifi which helped when planning our days out and sky tv (for those who wanted to follow the World Cup matches). The garden is like having another room with plenty of seating to take meals outside. Noeleen lives next door but is not intrusive but still available if you have questions about the area. The house is well positioned to explore this beautiful part of France....whether you are interested in beaches, walking or exploring Cathar castles. I would happily recommend this host and her home.
My mother (75) and I (45) spent a delightful two weeks at Chez Noeleen in this picturesque part of southern France. The house is beautiful, both inside and out and it is clear that Noeleen loves her gardening. We spent much time in the pretty courtyard under the wisteria and grapevines twisted around the pergola.
The house itself is light and roomy, well equipped and within a short walk to the village centre - boulangerie, patisserie, pharmacie, doctor, supermarket, pub and restaurants. Parking our hire car was never a problem - in the centre ville or near Chez Noeleen.
Noeleen was most welcoming and helpful. She has a bubbly personality and made us feel at home.
The location of this accommodation is excellent for getting around to the outlying points of interest - Capestang, an artists' haven, is a mere 5 minute drive away; Béziers is a 30 minute drive; Caracassone about 45 minutes; and Narbonne is only half an hour too. If you wish to travel to Spain, it's only a couple of hours drive south.
Chez Noeleen comfortably accommodates 6 people over 3 levels - 2 double bedrooms on the top floor (one with ensuite), one bedroom on the second level (together with a large bathroom) and the living area & kitchen on the ground floor. There are laundry facilities on site.
We highly recommend Chez Noeleen and can guarantee you will enjoy your time in Puisserguier.

A visit with my sister. The house was just as nice and lovely as described. Noeleen is a very kind and caring landlady.
We would love to stay there another time.
We had a lovely visit in Noelleen's home. The home is quite nice and she was very accommodating as she is right next door in case you need anything. When we arrived we found that Noelleen had even left us some croissants, marmalade, coffee and other items to welcome us. The kitchen has been renovated and there is a good selection of cooking supplies. There is a charming backyard with a dining table under an arbor. The bedroom was very comfortable. While there is not that much to do in Puissergier, it is well located as a base to explore the region around Beziers, Narbonne and the canal du Midi.
Irish, but lived and worked in London uk for many years. Travelled extensively, have worked in hospitality most of my life. Now semi-retired I moved to France 2006/7 spent 2 years refurbishing Chez Noeleen.
France offers a marvellous lifestyle, sun, sea, history and of course the wine.
People are wonderful, France is beautiful country with so much to offer.
