Relax on our 300-year-old organic farm. Our domicile is located at the entrance to Sölden, the Giggijochbahn is within walking distance in 8-10 minutes. Hiking trails go directly from the house up to the mountains, here you can enjoy the Tyrolean Alps. In the stable you will find the heart of Martin. Cows and calves are cared for here with love. Barbara is responsible for the organizational aspects and conjures up a delicious breakfast for the guests in winter.

The space
In our lobby to the hallway, you can park your boots for hiking or your skis.
The existing ski boot dryer ensures warm boots the next day.

In the breakfast room, the small breakfast is conjured up for you in winter. Here you will find what your heart desires, whether yogurt with fresh fruit, a fresh scrambled egg from the pan, a strong morning coffee if the aprés ski party lasted too long again or a freshly milked glass of milk.
Barbara is trying to respond to your wishes.
The breakfast room can be used by you at any time.

On the first floor is the first double room with access to the private bathroom. From here you can enjoy the view to the slope and the meadow of the calves. Perhaps one morning you will be greeted by a calf at the window.

Two further rooms, each with its own bathroom and shared balcony, are located on the second floor. Here the sun will greet you in the morning and you can enjoy a heavenly view of the mountains and the first skiers.
Each room is equipped with fresh linen and towels.

Of course, we always try to make rooms 2 & 3 with the shared balcony available to a group of 4 people. Of course, this does not always work for different booking reasons.

During your stay

Should you ever have enough of skiing or hiking, you are welcome in the stable.
The Grüner Biobauernhof is characterized by a long tradition.
Martin, who grew up on the farm, can tell you all about the Tyrolean gray cattle. In the stable you can experience what it means to take care of the animals. You can help with milking or use the pitchfork for pleasure. Our calves are definitely happy about a cuddling unit.

Children are just as welcome here as crazy skiers ;)
You can find out where the milk comes from, how the grass turns into hay and the farmer comes to feed the animals. Perhaps the dream of being a small farmer will come true.

With us on the farm, it means still being part of it with body and soul. Nature, humans and animals are brought into harmony here and therefore every cow gets a name from the greener.
In addition to the barn work, the meadows wait until late summer to be mowed. But first they are fertilized exclusively with natural fertilizer. The grass is traditionally mowed with a hammer, so that our cows only get the best food, then "Stanggern" is the name of the game.
A good, old, traditional handiwork that has become a rarity. The freshly mown grass is suspended on a wooden frame for complete drying. The important nutrients are not lost and get into the cow's stomach.

So:
You are welcome with us, whether for skiing and snowboarding, hiking, cycling, stable and meadow work or simply doing nothing. We look forward to seeing you :)

If you would like to stay longer in summer and combine your holiday with voluntary work, feel free to contact us via the machine ring in Austria ´Volunteer at the farm´.
