The apartment is fully furnished, including all bedding and towels. The apartment is always provided clean and tidy with the bed made with clean bedding and clean towels in the cupboard. There is wireless hi-speed internet with unlimited downloading. There's also an alarm clock radio. The bed is a double. There is a small fridge, double hotplate, large toaster oven, and regular toaster, plus dishes, pans, and utensils to cook whatever. There's a closet to hang clothes and to store bags etc.The studio is a comfortable and efficient space full of charm. In the daytime it is bright, thanks to the many windows, and cozy and intimate by night.
The studio is situated in the heart of the trendy Plateau neighborhood. The Plateau is the cultural heart and soul of Montreal. Physically, the studio is located at the epicenter of the city, so to get to all points on the Island is as efficient as can be. Notably Downtown Montreal is just an easygoing 20 minute walk away. Also it's only 20 minutes to walk to the cool hipster Mile End neighborhood. There's a couple of laundromats on Duluth street, a short block away. It's ten minutes to walk to Sherbrooke or Mount Royal Metro stations. It's five minutes to get to the 55 north-south bus and 10 minutes to get to the 80 bus on Parc Avenue, that circles the central core of the city day and night.
There are lots of long established cafes, boutiques and restaurants in the neighborhood, both cheap or upscale but all very good. A little stroll and you are at the hip Parc Jeanne-Mance and at the foot the Mountain (Parc Mont Royal; scene of the amazing Sunday Tam Tam gatherings in the summer months).
Perfect for temporary visitors, contract workers, students etc. For visitors planning on cooking, there's a supermarket on Duluth Street (a short block away) and also Segals (the cheapest in Montreal!) nearby on St Laurent (a five minute walk).
Tidy, warm, everything including parking close by! Perfect way to experience Montreal on a budget, we will be back!
What we liked:
- although it was cold outside, it was warm inside
- Nice small appartement in a lively neighbourhood of montreal. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and shops.
- good powerful shower
- patrick is a nice and interesting guy. He even took us to the airport
- very reasonable price
- showergel, towels, clean sheets, everything was in place
- really flexible with arrival and departure date
- nice view on the street
Things to take into comsideration:
- bed is quit hard. If you have back problems this might be a problem
- it's a small room, but who needs more?
- you have to climb some stairs to get to the appartement
- if you travel with heavy suitcases and you want to get here from the airport with public transport: i would recommend you take a cab instead, it's quit a walk up hill
Great place to stay for the price! Patrick was communicative and accommodating given the fact that we booked with two days notice. Definitely recommended.
Patrick's place is perfectly located and he is very communicative and friendly. You couldn't ask for a better AirBnB host. :)
We had a great time staying in the super location studio, it was differently a super location and a small studio!
The apartment is small, but cozy and perfect if you are looking for a central location to explore Montreal. It was not far from Mont Royal station and there were several buses that pass right outside the front door. Those with mobility issues beware: there is a rather large, narrow flight of stairs to climb to get to the apartment. The amenities were pretty basic, but the flat had everything you need. I really enjoyed my stay and I would recommend Patrick's place.
The apartment is in a perfect location, with easy access to many Montreal sights and the hippest neighbourhoods. It is quite small, but quite cozy and has all the basic amenities. Those with mobility issues beware: there is a rather long narrow flight of stairs enroute to the apartment.
Patrick was quick to reply and flexible with check in and check out. I would definitely recommend staying here!
All the good reviews here are spot on - Patrick’s place was perfect. The location can’t be beat. Schwartz’s is just a short walk in one direction, Bily Kun is two blocks in another direction, Cafe Neve is literally across the (website hidden) Pied de Cochon is a 10 minute walk. Diese Onze is a 5 minute walk. It was -5°F (-20°C) for most of our stay, but the apartment was warm and cozy the entire time. Patrick was easy to get in touch with and gave us good advice for things to do in the neighborhood. All in all a great experience!
Bien situé, lit confortable, prix très abordable.
Je le recommande.
