The Super Location Studio Apartment

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Rue Rachel Est, Montreal, QC H2W 1E4, Canada

The Space

The apartment is fully furnished, including all bedding and towels. The apartment is always provided clean and tidy with the bed made with clean bedding and clean towels in the cupboard. There is wireless hi-speed internet with unlimited downloading. There's also an alarm clock radio. The bed is a double. There is a small fridge, double hotplate, large toaster oven, and regular toaster, plus dishes, pans, and utensils to cook whatever. There's a closet to hang clothes and to store bags etc.The studio is a comfortable and efficient space full of charm. In the daytime it is bright, thanks to the many windows, and cozy and intimate by night.
The studio is situated in the heart of the trendy Plateau neighborhood. The Plateau is the cultural heart and soul of Montreal. Physically, the studio is located at the epicenter of the city, so to get to all points on the Island is as efficient as can be. Notably Downtown Montreal is just an easygoing 20 minute walk away. Also it's only 20 minutes to walk to the cool hipster Mile End neighborhood. There's a couple of laundromats on Duluth street, a short block away. It's ten minutes to walk to Sherbrooke or Mount Royal Metro stations. It's five minutes to get to the 55 north-south bus and 10 minutes to get to the 80 bus on Parc Avenue, that circles the central core of the city day and night.
There are lots of long established cafes, boutiques and restaurants in the neighborhood, both cheap or upscale but all very good. A little stroll and you are at the hip Parc Jeanne-Mance and at the foot the Mountain (Parc Mont Royal; scene of the amazing Sunday Tam Tam gatherings in the summer months).
Perfect for temporary visitors, contract workers, students etc. For visitors planning on cooking, there's a supermarket on Duluth Street (a short block away) and also Segals (the cheapest in Montreal!) nearby on St Laurent (a five minute walk).

  • Great location! It's a well sized and inexpensive option to see around Montreal. The place was clean and Patrick's expectations were clear. He was also easy to communicate with during the 2 days.

  • Patrick is the man. My girlfriend and I were looking for an affordable option whilst exploring Montreal (we had never been before), and The Super Location Studio Apartment was it. Great location.

We were within minutes of Metro stops, and, honestly, it really wasn't that bad just walking certain places in lieu of the Metro. The place was very clean upon arrival, and Patrick even left a tourism map for us to look over. I highly recommend staying in one of Patrick's places. As mentioned, he is the man.

  • Patrick's studio in Le Plateau neighborhood of Montreal is perfectly situated and met our needs for an affordable home base during our stay. It is small but efficient and we had a wonderful time! Patrick was a great host and quick to answer questions and correspond prior to our visit. Very pleasant experience, will recommend his listing to friends.

  • Tidy, warm, everything including parking close by! Perfect way to experience Montreal on a budget, we will be back!

    March 2014
  • What we liked:
    - although it was cold outside, it was warm inside
    - Nice small appartement (email hidden)ly neighbourhood of montreal. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and shops.
    - good powerful shower
    - patrick is a nice and interesting guy. He even took us to the airport
    - very reasonable price
    - showergel, towels, clean sheets, everything was in place
    - really flexible with arrival and departure date
    - nice view on the street

    Things to take into comsideration:
    - bed is quit hard. If you have back problems this might be a problem
    - it's a small room, but who needs more?
    - you have to climb some stairs to get to the appartement
    - if you travel with heavy suitcases and you want to get here from the airport with public transport: i would recommend you take a cab instead, it's quit a walk up hill

  • Great place to stay for the price! Patrick was communicative and accommodating given the fact that we booked with two days notice. Definitely recommended.

    February 2014
  • Patrick's place is perfectly located and he is very communicative and friendly. You couldn't ask for a better AirBnB host. :)

    January 2014
  • We had a great time staying in the super location studio, it was differently a super location and a small studio!

    January 2014
  • The apartment is small, but cozy and perfect if you are looking for a central location to explore Montreal. It was not far from Mont Royal station and there were several buses that pass right outside the front door. Those with mobility issues beware: there is a rather large, narrow flight of stairs to climb to get to the apartment. The amenities were pretty basic, but the flat had everything you need. I really enjoyed my stay and I would recommend Patrick's place.

    December 2013
  • Location of the place is great, nice central location. As others have said parking is a bit of an inconvenience, but worth it for the location. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a budget place to stay downtown Montreal
