The apartment was clean and everything was where Jean said it was. Jean was not present during our visit due to personal matters but left great resources for us to use. The only issue was that the apartment had a distinct cigarette smoke/cat litter smell.
Jean was a wonderful host that was a wonderful communicator before and during my stay. Upon arriving to his place, he gave me plenty of information about sites to visit, shows to see and places to eat. He even provided maps of cultural places of interest.
His place is in a great part of town - very close (10 min walk) to the village and metro but in a very noisy part. FYI: there is a very fun karyoke bar around the corner from his place and the bartender, Vicky, is a sweetheart.
Although I only stayed for two nights, i would highly recommend his place, especially if you are planning a trip to Montreal for the first time.
Lots of good advices
Next to the heart of Montréal center in a quiet neighbourhood
Free use of kitchen
Great discussion about canadian politics now and in the past
R & B as iT should be
Jean is an extremely nice and friendly person. He even gave us a map to Montreal and recommended many places to see. The room was very clean and organized. We even found a pair of clean towels and tissue. I have to say that the bed and pillows were very comforting. Jean also gave us access to the kitchen where you ca use the microwave and the fridge.
The location of the building is amazing as it is very close to the downtown. I had my car and I was happy I can park it on the street under the building over the night without paying.
Overall, I had a wonderful time at Jean's home.
Jean es muy amable, nada más llegar nos indicó los sitios importantes para visitar.
Esta muy bien situado, no hemos necesitado coche ni utilizar transporte público.
La cama es muy confortable.
Es muy recomendable.
We had 3 nights with Jean and he was very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. Even though the apartment is inner city near bars (near the gay village in fact) there was little noise. The apartment is small but Jean gave us use of the kitchen. Best of all were conversations about all sorts of things. Jean smokes but only outside on the balcony. I'm sensitive to tobacco smells, but only one night about 3am there was a smell in the air, perhaps from the open window.
Séjour très agréable chez Jean. Quartier tranquille, et place parfaite pour visiter Montréal. Jean est très disponible et ces conseils furent d'une grande utilité. À louer sans hésiter !

Friendly person. I have travelled the planet for work on all the oceans, and a great reference to everything concerning our great city of Montréal. very neat person always ready to be friendly to all that is witty and curious of all lthe wonderful aspect of life. I am still working in the public relations field, and never got bored of it. It is a nonstop pleasure to have guests from England, USA, Australia, France, India, Brazilia and of course Canada. Either for pleasure, Bussiness or students exchange they make me travel thru their clulture and wonderful conversations exchanges. There is nothing as rich to have contact with world cultures and it reminds me of my travelling for work. It is a pleasure for me to take good care of my guests, something I've done all my working life expériences, and even more in my home. My place is open to all !!!!!
