Silk Purse Cottage (ca. 1920) is in scenic, historic Chester County, PA 6 miles from the PA turnpike. It is a completely renovated, private cottage on a 6 acre property. Perfect spot for a relaxing vacation. Visitors who are interested in gardening, history and outdoor activities will find many opportunities close by. Hike, fish, go boating or mountain biking one mile away at Marsh Creek State Park. Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, Lancaster and Philadelphia are all a short distance by car.

The space
Enjoy a cup of coffee on the private front porch! Silk Purse Cottage has a complete kitchen, charming living room and cozy bedroom. There are books, games, a smart TV, and information on local attractions. Guests have 2 parking spaces adjacent to the cottage. We also include a complementary sample of local honey provided by Ben's Bees of Lyndell PA.
Sheets, pillows, towels and general kitchen supplies (including tea and coffee) are all provided for your convenience and enjoyment. All you need to bring are food & drink and personal products.
