Villa Crespo is a friendly neighbourghood which is rapidly becoming popular with young people for its proximity to Palermo Soho (they are beginning to call it Palermo Queens) whilst still retaining its local residential feel. For tangueros Villa Crespo holds a special meaning since it was Osvaldo Pugliese's 'hood, his club 'El Fulgor de Villa Crespo' is few blocks away from the apartment and is where the Milonga10 is held. Several other very popular milongas are in this area: Villa Malcom, La Viruta, Salon Canning, el Yeite.
Villa Crespo was created in 1886 and it was the neighbourhood of the tanneries and shoe factories. In 1889 began construction of the 'Conventillo de la Paloma' a building for all the factory workers which held 112 families of mostly italian, spanish and jewish immigrants and which soon became the symbol of the neighbourhood. In 1928 it inspired the famous 'sainete' (one-act farce) 'El Conventillo de la Paloma', a classic of Porteño theatre. You can still visit the building in Serrano 152-158 y Thames 145-149 (from the apartment keep on Thames and just cross Corrientes).

Interaction with Guests
A lot. I personally manage the property so I am very hands on!
Villa Crespo is still a 'real' residential neighbourhood, so close to trendy Palermo Soho that you can enjoy its bars and cafes without actually suffering from the noise and crowds.
It is very well connected to other areas of town by underground and metro bus, you can reach the centre in just a 10 minutes underground ride or Palermo Botanical Gardens on the Metro Bus.
No smoking allowed inside. Please make sure you always close and lock the balcony doors before going out. You can have guests around but no loud parties please.
Ultimately the only other rule that really matters is RESPECT.... treat the apartment with care as if it was your place, so you can enjoy it on future trips and other guests too!
It was an awesome place to stay and Roberto was very friendly introducing me into Buenos Aires! Thank you very much!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a great time in this beautiful 1st floor apartment just outside of Palermo Hollywood. She was very accommodating and everything was clean!
Smooth communication before check-in. Roberto assisted with the check-in and Kicca with the check-out - both went smoothly. I thought the neigbourhood was good, although locals constantly told me to stay alert. The description matches the apartment and there are some nice neighbours in the house.
Great and clean place. Everything is as shown as on the pictures. I really liked the neighbourhood.
Great place near Palermo! I enjoyed the stay and Kicca was always extremely helpful!
The place is great! Perfect for one person or a couple and its located in a very nice area. Kicca was very helpful and easy to deal with. Overall a great host! I would definitely come back again anytime.
