Mountain and valley views

Guests say the views are lovely.
The views are hypnotic and look down and out over the continental divide. Good morning sun and sunsets in the same spot. Deck is large (384 square feet) with roof. Private porta John is cleaned weekly. Lights and electrical is 110 for coffee pots, electric grills, mattress inflators, blenders, fans, etc. I provide chairs, fresh water in containers, camping supplies from dog bowl to antimicrobial wipes. Your parking area is next to the deck and Black Mountain’s tasty restaurants are 4 miles away

The space
Perfect blend of amenties and nature. I provide clean porta john, chairs, table, water in igloo container, 110 electric service, lights, bear bucket, cleaning supplies, garbage bags and other camping stuff. If at the end of your trip, if you have unused supplies "pay if forward" and leave them for the next camping deck.

Guest access
The deck is private and is yours alone.

Other things to note
The last .7 mile is a gravel road with the first part steep. No four wheel drive needed though. Parking is near the deck so moving your belongings is easy.

My work: “ Unemployable” seems a term that describes me fairly accurately. I’ve been a Mom and Pop operation for so long I don’t think I could even hold a “real job” anymore.
While these “describe yourself” paragraphs are always awkward, I will do my best. Marcia and I have been married and living in Black Mountain for the last 37 years. We raised two daughters, both of whom have “flown the nest AND the wallet!” We live on a small farm where we raise llamas, horses, alpacas, dogs, arrogant cat, guinea hens, rainbow trout, and the occasional wild fox, coyote, etc. My wife is a practicing Veterinarian and I have done small real estate developments for most of my career. I love to read and wish I could write better. I currently spend time volunteering with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and other local environmental concerns. If you like experiencing nature, you may want to check out our Treehouse Glamping Decks near Asheville. Quiet places of retreat on a covered deck with impressively massive views, open aired and rustic, yet lights and electricity for any plug in device you might want. Nearby parking and private toilet facilities. Our places have been described as well located, of good value, and wonderfully unique. Please read our reviews for more information and an honest evaluation of our hosting ethic. We continue to seek improvement in the experience of our quests. We look forward to your instant book reservation, or hearing your inquiry. Doug & Marcia
