This adobe style house sits on several acres of serene high desert filled with the medicinal Creosote bush.
We are located in a more remote part of Joshua Tree where you will find quiet and a true escape. The house has lots of natural light, spaces to recharge, a walking meditation Labyrinth, a fire pit and stargazing chairs to contemplate the universe and relax in the vast landscape ~
The space
Originally a homesteader cabin built off the grid in 1957, we spent the bulk of 2018 remodeling and re-energizing the space with our own handmade furniture, fabrics from travels around the globe, and fixtures crafted by local JT artisans. We made our shelves and tables from fallen trees from the nearby mountains, and the dried plants adorning the ceiling all come from the land.
The interior has inspirations from the Mojave desert as well as Bedouin hospitality.
The house accommodates 4 guests with many common spaces to share inside and out including a large dining room table with floor seating, multiple patios with a gas grill, and a propane fire pit out in the land surrounded by nature.
We have 3 mini split AC/heating units to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
You will be visited by wildlife weaving in and out of the flora around you. Coyotes, owls, jackrabbits and quail, are frequent visitors.
Other things to note
We have security cameras at the front and side (kitchen) door. We turn notifications OFF once guests arrive! They are only there for the times our house is empty and we are not nearby!
If power goes out flip the main power switch in box by the front door. Code is 313. Don’t forget to lock after you open.

Joshua Tree is a sweet small town with cafes, shops and restaurants. The town is also filled with artists, poets, and healers. It may seem sparse but there are lots of events to participate in addition to exploring nature in the beautiful park.
In our immediate walking vicinity, around the corner from our house, is the Dhamma Dena Meditation Center offering open meditations. Just down the road is the local Copper Mountain Mesa Community center which offers yoga classes and various community events like Pancake breakfast and game night!

Hello! We are artists, musicians, teachers, makers, dreamers, beer brewers and entrepreneurs living in Los Angeles. We fell in love with the desert when we moved to southern California 10 years ago from NYC and felt we had reached the edge of the world. The magic of Joshua Tree is palpable and we are so excited to be able to share a part of this land with you.
