Staying with Denise was like spending time with an old friend. Our conversations were delightful. She went out of her way to help with activities for me to do. I also had a peculiar request that she was more than happy to accommodate. Her house is nestled in an area surrounded by pine trees in a very relaxed setting. If you like to walk, getting downtown would be quite easy. By car, she lives about 2 minutes from all of the wonderful shops and restaurants Prescott has to offer. Lynx Lake and other hiking trails are near her as well. I would highly recommend staying with her.
Our stay in Prescott was easy, and even though we never met Denise, there were many other great reasons to stay at her place. It was very close to the City court house and market, and there was 4th of July in the weekend we stayed there, so Prescott was vibrant and we had a great time!
Though you have to like cats. There are two cats, you don't have to take care of them, but they had been in our room before arrival, so there were cat hair on some of our stuff. But all in all a good place close to the town centre. And free parking! :)
Denise is a great host with a lovely home. We had an excellent time, and will absolutely be back again.
My host had a booklet with notes and phone numbers in the event I required assistance. Host also detailed in the binder all the necessary information for me to be comfortable and aid in taking care of myself and the home. The posted description-of the neighborhood is quite accurate "Quiet home in the heart of Prescott". It was a very enjoyable stay!!
Denise made it a very pleasurable stay. It is easy to come and go as you please, and if your lucky you might even get Denise to lead you on a hike. She is very knowledgeable on the area and gives great suggestions and ideas about the area and what to do around the Prescott area. It was great to have my own space (bedroom and bathroom). I just moved to the area and I think I made my first friend in Denise!
