Elizabeth's farm was amazing! Beautiful views, clean bed and bathroom, space heater for cold nights. She even brought in a pet sheep for us to play with. Had tons of fun with the sheep and Inca!
Liz is a brilliant host and the farm stay is a great getaway from the city. Beautiful property with amazing views.
Thanks again and Hi to Inca & co!
It was a lovely farm house in a classic spacious home. Our host even took us to feed her sheep. We appreciated the effort in making us a lovely breakfast and also loved the dog!
This was a great place to stay. Liz and Inca were very welcoming. We loved feeding the animals in the morning. The surrounding farming area was very scenic and peaceful.
Lovely classic country kiwi setting and the host went out of her way to be sure we were all fine. Thanks Elizabeth for your accomodation
Our Pongakawa Farmstay was a memorable one. Surrounded by lush green hills as far as the eye can see, we felt the tranquility and richness of New Zealand agriculture, especially from the balcony of our main room. Elizabeth greeted us with a well prepared meal of lamb chops and veggies, much needed after our drive from Auckland. Aunty Liz, as the kids called her, was warm and generous with sharing her time and knowledge about her life and surroundings. The kids had the privilege of feeding sheep, seeing a cow milking process and made a good friend out of the other house resident, Inca the dog. It was enjoyable and we recommend this to those looking to take in a farm feel to their New Zealand holiday. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable.
Elizabeth is a great host! We totally enjoyed our time staying with her and Inca, the 2 cats and the sheep. She even took the effort to take us to have a look at how they milk the cows and we even get to try it ourselves. It is really an eye opening experience. The rooms are spacious and definitely tranquil. I will definitely stay with her again next time.
About the Host, Elizabeth
I enjoy the outdoors and live on a lifestyle block. During the week I work as a School Teacher. I have had the privilege of travelling to the USA, UK, Australia and many other places. I enjoy meeting people from all across the world and I would like to share my country with visitors from overseas and let them get a small taste of what Kiwi life is like. My interest are cooking, fishing, reading a good book, working on my lifestyle block and spending time with my family.
