Charming bedroom available in 2BR/1BA only 1 mile from the heart of trendy SoCo. Our neighborhood is full of that great Austin energy everyone loves...friendly, casual, and maybe a tad bit weird. No matter how short or long your stay, you will feel right at home and love this convenient location! (Very bikable and very busable to SXSW events, ACL, and downtown.)
The bedroom has a full sized bed. Need even more room? 4 can sleep here comfortably if you take advantage of the pull-out couch in the living room!* The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you could ever need to prepare a meal, perhaps after a visit to the Austin farmer's market. Feel free to dine alfresco with the outdoor table and chairs, or enjoy a glass of wine on the front yard swing while the sun sets. The shower experience is great with the dual shower heads and plush cotton towels.
The apartment is in a 4-plex with a coin washer and dryer upstairs. Wireless internet and free parking are also available. Cable is not available, but you can pick up several local stations or use the DVD player. If you'd like to use the iron & ironing board or a hair dryer, just let me know, and I'll set it out for you!

Really enjoyed our stay in Austin with the Rices. Although Rebekah was out of town and we didn't bump into Ryan until we were packing up to leave we felt perfectly at home in their cozy pad. The location was ideal. Easy access to many of the spots we looked forward to visiting. Thanks for making our first visit to Austin so amazing.
Rebekah was extremely accommodating. We had car trouble on the way to Austin and Rebekah stayed up for us and made sure we had everything we needed.
Great place. Would recommend.
Rebekah and Ryan were both wonderful hosts! Their home is really cute and comfortable and conveniently located off of 290 next to St. Edwards, if anyone has tried taking 35 into Austin, you know why you'd avoid this at all costs. It is also just a 5 minute drive from all the shops and cafe'on South Congresss, and just another 5 minutes north to downtown.
The room was very comfortable and they both made sure we felt at home, making us coffee and making sure we had everything we needed. They are a very genuinely sweet couple! It made everything very easy and our stay was great. I'd definately go back next time I need a place in Austin and highly recommend it!
We had a nice stay with Rebekah and Ryan. The room was clean, and they were friendly, but also left us room. The apartment is in a great location.
Rebekah and Ryan were awesome hosts for my boyfriend and I during SXSW 2014. It was our first time experiencing South By as well as using AirBnB. She kindly accepted my reservations without having any previous reviews on us. The price was awesome, especially during SXSW where the price seemed to be inflated on everything! They were very kind and hospitable. Rebekah made me tea, offered me Advil after too many Lonestars, and left a list of the closest stores and coffee shops as well as where we could catch the bus. The bus stop is a short walk from the apartment building off South Congress and the bus pass was only $2 a day to get to the heart of SoCo or down town. The hosts were home off and on during our stay so we tried to be super quite when we came in late. The neighborhood was quite and the bed was super comfortable. If you want a cute space to sleep and get out of the madness, this is the place you want to stay!
Rebekah and Ryan were friendly and gracious hosts. The room was clean and cozy and I felt very welcome in their home. They helped me find my way around town and made some great restaurant recommendations. I was in town for a conference, which was held near their house so I didn't rent a car, but Rebekah was able to borrow a bike for me from one of her friends. It made getting around really easy for me. Thanks for making my stay in Austin great!
Rebekah and Ryan were very gracious hosts, couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. They put up with my early morning noise and holing up in the room whilst under the weather. Thanks guys!
We really enjoyed our visit, it was four of us and it was confortable enough for all.We didn't get to meet Rebekah but she was always in touch to make sure we were ok with all. I would definitely recommend this place and we hope to be back next year for ACL!
I guess the biggest proof of a positive experience is for the customer to return. My second stay with the Rices was as gracious and kind as the first. They even out did their previous over-the-top hospitality. I'll be back!
South Congress is just plain fun - great shops with such different things that I was able to find gifts and clothing (Maya, Uncommon Objects) that are not the ubiquitous type - a rare find. The food trucks have relocated. I found some on S 1st and enjoyed a "Conscious Wrap" with tasty ginger seasoning and a crunchy shell. Guerros on S. Congress serves up plenty of tasty food with a help-yourself chip and salsa bar. I got provisions at H.E.B. on Oltorf including a surprisingly fabulous octopus salad from their sushi section. Since it was all prepared and marinating, it was handy and delicious when I came in after a full day.
Ryan and Rebecca are naturally easy to be with. This is the sort of relationship that makes staying in someone's home work comfortably. One evening I was in the mood for something sweet. Going through their supplies, I found the makings for blondies. With their attitude I knew this would be O.K. so I mixed up a batch; which received their stamp of approval when they came in.
Rebecca could write the book on airbnb hosting. I'm grateful to find them and their place, neatly tucked in where I need it.
Rebekah was such a considerate host. Even though I didn't get a chance to meet her you could tell she really cared about her guests She left a sweet card for me on the table and provided everything from tea to toothbrushes.
