My house is on a dead-end street but close to buses, stores and restaurants. I have good parking in front of my house and It is a short 10 minute drive to downtown and to the waterfront.
Teas of every kind plus fresh mint from the garden too! Coffee if you like it and non-caffeine drinks too!
My house is on a dead-end street but close to buses, stores and restaurants. I have good parking in front of my house and It is a short 10 drive to downtown and to the waterfront.
It is a five minute walk to the bus stop to go to downtown (No 22 bus) or the waterfront. It takes 10 to 20 minutes to get to the center depending on the traffic. No 22 bus from centre if coming from Clipper or I might be able to pick you up at Clipper for $10 fee. Same goes for the bus depot.
I offer a lovely bedroom with a new, very comfortable double/full sized bed. Beautyrest single-coil mattress - yes it is the "bowling ball" bed! Guarantees a wonderful sleep after a hard day hiking in the forests or visiting the many sights in the downtown area.
The bathroom is shared.
I enjoy travelling myself and like to meet like-minded folk who need a comfortable yet safe and quiet place to stay. I will offer a special rate to single women - please ask when enquiring so long as it is at least a week ahead of time. My house, though close to stores, restaurants and bus stops feels quite secluded.
I have a cat to enjoy - Yaya and a nice garden and deck where you can sit and read or plan for your next adventure in the lovely city of Victoria BC. (If you don't like cats this is not the home for you),
A self-served continental breakfast is included with your stay with good tea or coffee and home-made preserves. If you have a special diet please let me know in advance and I will try and accommodate you.
I prefer that you not cook in the house but will be happy for you to use my microwave and to utilize the kitchen area to prepare sandwiches and snacks.
A washer and dryer are available at a small fee of $8 a load and I provide free wifi to you as my guest. All towels and toiletries are available to you.
I have lived here over fourty years having emigrated originally from Liverpool in England. I know the town well and am familiar with all the tourist attractions and good places to eat.
Great walks nearby - Gorge inlet, walk along the waterfront, pub not far away and Cuthbert Holmes Park is just down the street and is 63.5 acres of parkland. Gorge Park is just down the street.
After a nice walk you can pop over to Silver City and catch a film in one of the many theatres there.
I recycle everything - all paper and plastics and try to be environmentally conscious in life and I ask that my guests help me to continue this.

Guests have access to shared bathroom, back deck and all toiletries supplied if needed.
Interaction with Guests
I try and spend time with each guest to assist them in their decisions as to where to go and how to get there!
My neighbourhood has easy access to grocery stores, department stores and cinemas as well as lovely walks nearby.
One block away there are buses into the center and other parts of Victoria. Very easy to get around by bus.
Other Things to Note
Check in is after 2 pm and please be considerate and arrive at the designated and agreed to and no later than 8 pm. Be aware that I will have planned my day around that time.
No smoking in the house please. It is a quiet place to stay and II try to create a peaceful environment for myself and of course my guests!
Please keep the shower curtain inside the bath when using the shower.
When using dishes please either wash them by hand and put away or put in dishwasher after rinsing them. Unloading the dishwasher would be great too!
Please don't let the cats in your room as I am trying to keep it cat free so guests who have allergies can stay at my place.
