I don't believe in rules, I trust and respect people and hope to attract guests with the same mindset. Life is short, let's live it!!
I stayed with Cathi for two months and although this was my first time staying at an airbnb I can't imagine that anyone else could have been a better host. It was a perfect fit my me and my dog Diamond.
The place is pretty much immaculate at all times and the pictures are an accurate representation of what you can expect. If you like rock & roll chic you will LOVE the decor as much as I did. As previously stated by another guest the bed is SUPER comfortable. The backyard is always party ready with a pool, tiki bar, surround sound that plays a wide variety of music, a ping pong table and if you are lucky you will get to partake in one or more of her parties with friends that are very friendly and inviting. Did I mention that Cathi is the supreme queen of mixed drinks?
I wouldn't say that this is a typical party house, as there wasn't a party every night or weekend, I was able to relax after a long day of work even if Cathi had friends over. She is very considerate of her guests and definitely goes out of her way to make you feel at home. By the way, if you hear a knock on the door and her boyfriend is offering you handmade pizza fresh from the oven...don't turn it down...Cathi may be the Supreme Queen of Drinks but her boyfriend is the King of Cooking!
I hate to say it but I think my dog actually hates me now that we have moved out, and although Diamond was a little aggressive towards Cathi's sweet pooch Nikki, I believe she actually misses her.
Cathi's and Nikki are two of the best hosts one could ever hope to have. I would definitely recommend staying here.
I can't say enough good things about Cathi, Nikki (her dog), and the house. I'll start with the house...I stayed there for 2 months. It is so comfortable and inviting. I felt right at home. She has it decorated beautifully and the backyard with the pool is awesome. A great place to read a book or just take in some LA sun. The room itself is perfect. A big comfy bed (seriously, it's magical how comfortable it is) and a desk which is a nice touch. Private bathroom in the room is a plus. Free street parking, which is hard to find in LA. Then there is Cathi herself. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome and to answer any questions I had. She has such great energy and is so much fun. Then there is her dog Nikki. She is the sweetest dog I have ever met and while she doesn't like strangers at first, she will warm up to you. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in LA.
My experience staying with Cathi was terrific. She's unpretentious, a fantatic communicator, and is serious about her friendships. Her place is warm yet eclectic and her backyard is an oasis in Toluca Lake ... which ironically describe her! The times she had friends over for BBQ, socials, she personally invited me to gatherings -- a most gracious host.
Her space offered a wonderfully sleeping bed, solid desk, and sizeable closet were in my room that was adjoined to my own private bathroom. Except when there was a movie shoot taking place down the block, there was ample street parking. And if you are a slurpee fan, there is a 7-eleven just around the corner, a 3 minute walk away.
My stay was fantastic at Cathi's! Comfy room, clean place, great backyard and yummy coffee. Thanks again :)
I stayed with Cathi for three months, and it was great. Cathi is really easy to get along with, and the room is fantastic. Big comfy bed, ensuite and desk. I enjoyed the experience, and consider Cathi a good friend :)
Cathi is really charming and it's easy living with her. The house is absolutely nice and comfortable, with a big backyard with swimming pool! The guest room is quite big, with a private bathroom, a desk and a very big and comfortable bed. I'm serious, I think is the most comfortable bed I sleep ever! The room is also very quiet.
And finally, Nicki, her dog. She is a little bit shy but is lovely cute.
I completely recommend Cathi and her house.
Sorry about my bad english!
Cathi was a great host! She knew a lot about LA and gave me a list of fun things to do during my stay. The house is lovely and the backyard is magical with tons of lights. Also, the mattress pad was very comfortable!
Easy going entertainment executive. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world which is why I've decided to open my home to travellers, I am looking to travel more myself this year and think this is the way to get embroiled in life as the locals do it in different cities. I have a lot to offer travellers as I moved to gorgeous SoCal from Canada 12 years ago and have much passion for this city. I have spent a lot of time getting to know all this amazing city has to offer and am happy to share with my guests.
