Rhona's home was perfect for our two-day stay in Portree! We were greeted by her friend Pat, but Rhona stopped by later to make sure everything was going well and answered any questions we might have had. The house was clean, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood with great proximity to downtown shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean, cozy and warm, which was nice since we hit some cooler weather on Skye. We appreciated having food left in the kitchen for snacks and breakfast, and would definitely return to Rhona's house if we have the chance to return to Portree!
Great stay in Portree. Rhona and Pat made our stay very pleasant. House was very comfortable. Could not ask or more. Many thanks
Lovely wee house in Portree. Very comfortable and roomy for our family of three. We had a couple of questions about how the TV worked, but Rhona was very quick to respond and sort it out for us. Highly recommend for anyone interested in a charming and well located spot on Skye. . If you get out to Talisker distillery (very nice!) be sure to have lunch at the Oyster Shed. . not at all fancy (think picnic tables with amazing views) but all wonderful, local food. The whisky smoked salmon was amazing and the oysters (raised by the owner, in the loch below) were scrumptious.
Rohna's cottage was very comfortable and clean. It was located in the perfect location for accessing many of the hikes on Skye. The kitchen is clean and all of the appliances/utensils you need are present. Rhona was very responsive to any questions and concerns we had (responding in less than a day), and although she was not able to greet us her friend came by and gave us some food staples to start our stay off on the right foot!
The house was great; clean and comfortable and in a quiet neighbourhood. We had our own car parking space which was great. It was no more than 5 mins walk to the centre of town where there is a big Co Op to buy groceries and numerous restaurants to eat in, I'd definitely recommend the Scorrybreac restaurant, delicious. The house was warm and well equipped and, we found that there was sugar, salt, coffee and other bits of food left by other visitors, perhaps, which was super helpful. Rhona was very helpful and we would recommend staying here.
Rhona nous avait prévenu de son absence, et nous avons pu prendre possession du logement sans problème.
Le logement était conforme à la description.

About the Host, Rhona
Brought up in the Village of Portree - lived and worked in several areas of Scotland. Bought the flat in 2006, love to stay as often as I can however with work commitments that isn't easy. I love travel and usually stay in self catering accommodation - airbnb is such a great idea. The site is new to me but I hope to stay in many of the properties on this site over the next while.
