My husband and I enjoyed our two nights at Dee and Hugh's place. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfasts with them in the kitchen by the koi pond were so pleasant! Just so folks know, it is not near any shops or restaurants, but Sligo is just a few miles away and there is a bus if you don't have a car. We were on bicycles, and enjoyed the proximity to the sea and to the village of Strandhill (about 4 miles away). We had a lovely dinner there, and picked up snacks as well. We feel like we made new friends with Dee and Hugh. They are really kind, lovely people! Thanks!

A beautiful house located about 3km from the train/bus station. My husband and I walked, but it is a bit of a trek with luggage so take the bus (s2) from city center and get off at the corner of Second Sea Road and White Strand. I don't believe there is an official stop, so just let the bus driver know where you intend to get off when getting on. Hugh was a wonderful and welcoming host. Once we arrived, it was very clear that we were fatigued from the walk so he offered us a lift back to town for dinner, which was perfect. Breakfast the next morning was very nice, with homemade porridge, toast, yogurt and coffee. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. The neighborhood was quiet, which allows for a good night's sleep. The highlight of our stay though was definitely Hugh's company. Highly recommend for anyone staying in Sligo.

Our host was exceptionally welcoming upon arrival. He provided a thorough walk-through of the room. The room was beautiful and well-maintained. His location is a short walking distance to the city centre. We had a restful sleep, as the neighborhood is private and very quiet. Hugh provided a lovely breakfast the next morning with a good conversation. We had an overall pleasant stay and would recommend this location to a friend. Thank you!
