Hugh and Dee are wonderful! The home and hosts were both lovely and comfortable, and the breakfast, which included homemade brown bread, was excellent. Overall, I had a great time staying with them.
This accommodation is far enough from the center of town that you should expect a fair walk or bring some sort of transport. Hugh and Dee are very helpful though, and there is a bus that runs at rush hour times or a pretty inexpensive taxi service.
It was a wonderful stay in Sligo. Hugh and Deidre were very helpful and made it a very nice stay. The room was great and it was easy to get in town or to Strandhill.
Our stay at Hugh and Dee's home was very nice and relaxing. The house is beautiful and the room spacious with an ensuite bathroom. Hugh and Dee are lovely hosts - Hugh even picked us up at the bus station and they prepared a very nice breakfast. They told us about the Sligo city walking tour which was a great experience - we'd recommend that to other travellers, too!
Thank you, Dee and Hugh, we'd love to come back some day!
We recently stayed 2 nights with Hugh and Dee.The room was beautifully decorated complete with en suite.Hugh and Dee are excellent hosts and provided lovely breakfasts. They were both able to give me further background information on the places we had visited in Sligo and had delighful conversations with them. The house is located near Sligo town .
Lovely home room very comfortable and tastefully furnished Hugh & Dee were the perfect hosts lovely breakfast and the best brown bread I've ever tasted lovely place to stay highly recommended
Staying with Hugh and Dee was a pleasure. They are such friendly and welcoming host. We felt at home right away. They directed us to a great hike, to a good local restaurant and went above and beyond in helping us try to secure reservation in the next town we traveled. Dee made an awesome hot breakfast and each morning gave us some of her homemade bread which I thought was delicious. She was also so kind as to share the recipe. The room was very clean and neat, the bed had a top sheet (which I very much appreciated as I have found most places I've stayed in Ireland doesn't) and the shower was nice and hot. Their home is about 5 min or less from the city center (driving) which I thought was perfect as it got us out of the noise that often comes with city center hustle and bustle. We very much enjoyed their company and I can highly recommend this home for staying. We hope to see Hugh and Dee again on their travels to the U.S. Thank you for contributing to an excellent Irish vacation!!
