Galtee mountains Ballyhoura mountain biking, pony trekking, Rugby wkds at Thomond park (45mns), homely for extended business trips romantic retreat or a chance to experience rural country living.

A car is necessary at New Thatch Farm. Cork/Shannon airports 1 hour, train station within 10km. Trains direct to Cork, Limerick & Dublin.
No pets in sleeping areas.

The cottage is surrounded by a working farm. There are cattle and horses on the farm

A beautifully appointed thatched cottage ideal as a country retreat away from the city surrounded by farm land and a few horses and cattle. Centrally located for a exploring Munster. The following can all be reached in a maximum of 1 to 1 and 1/2 hours the rock of cashel, cork city, the vee, the ring of Kerry, the lakes in Killarney, the stunning cliffs of Moher, lismore castle and gardens, locally hike the Galtee mountains, Lough Gur and the Ballyhoura mountains -The largest trail network of its kind in Ireland. 98km of trails including forest road climbs, tight twisty singletrack with loads of ups and downs, board walk, tight turns.

A natural host who enjoys meeting new people and sharing her unique home. Always happy to go that extra bit to ensure a comfortable stay. Sonia brought her Thatched cottage back to life from a delicate state so it truely has been a labour of love. Sonia shares her farm with two horses, six calves and one very special cat called Gin - who is part of the furniture!! Located next door to the Scarteen hunt kennels the hounds can always be relied upon for an wake up call.
