We have a room in a hundred year old house to rest your head and store your gear while you are in Utah for your vaca! We're 10 minutes from the airport, 1.5 miles from downtown, 1 mile to the FrontRunner station and to Trax, 2 blocks from the grocery store, 7 blocks from the Red Iguana, and 1/2 mile to the freeway that gets you on the chair lift in 45 minutes or less!
The room is hot in the summer and cool in the winter, but we do have fans and space heaters when needed.
We have a pup (Austrailan cattle dog/ blue heeler) that loves everyone and their dog. Sometimes he can be overly friendly, but only with the best intentions.
kitchen, dining area, bathrooms, yard
We are sometimes chatty and sometimes not. Depending on how late and how early our days go.
Two trax lines are 1.2 miles from our home. One to the airport which is then only about 15 min to the airport. The Frontrunner, Amtrak, Greyhound, and Central Station are about 1 mile from us. A bus (509) stops right outside our house.
We may be interested in renting out the entire house. Please let me know if you are interested and we can negotiate a price and length of time. and I can upload more photos if desired.
Josie, Eddie, Shep and Willie are absolutely phenomenal. I instantly felt like I was just staying with friends. Not only, were they perfect and accommodating hosts, but simply hanging out with them and getting to know them was my favorite part of my trip to Salt Lake, I hesitate to say anymore good things, for fear of their place being booked during my next trip there :)
Josie and Eddie were absolutely phenomenal. I booked them last minute and they were gracious and inviting throughout my stay with them. A great first airbnb experience.
Josie and her family were gracious and generous hosts, even after a road closure sent me hours out of the way and I turned up on their doorstep at midnight. Thank you for a comfy, homey spot to spend a night on my way across the country. And my dog loved playing with Willie!
Adorable house, great people. Josie and Eddie were excellent hosts, and their dog is incredibly sweet. We only stayed one night during a cross country venture, but we enjoyed having such nice people as our hosts.
Great location to get around town. Nice accommodations and very friendly family. Healthy breakfast and hosts where helpful with questions I had about Salt Lake City. We would definitely stay with Josie and family again.
Lovely people, delightful home. This worked out well, even on business travel. Highly recommend this concept and these folks if you are staying in SLC!
Josie and her husband were wonderful to stay with: cordial, friendly, nice, generous to a fault. Comfortable bed, kitchen access, free wifi, shower, the cutest nice dog, and everything clean and neat. Definitely a great deal and nice place to stay! We would definitely stay again.
I only stayed one night at Josie's and Eddie's place, but it was a very nice stay. All the family is very welcoming, including the dog :) We had some nice chats, watched a cool movie together, and Josie even gave me a ride to the train station early in the morning. Thank you guys!
Josie, Eddie, Shepard and Willie Nelson were awesome! I would have liked to spend more time getting to know them, but thats how it goes. They are super friendly and very generous hosts. They left us coffee on everyday and gave me the best fresh zucchini bread I've ever had, plus the secret to making it so good. If your ever in Pittsburgh look us up, and chase willie around the yard for me.
Josie and her husband were as great of hosts as you could hope for. They didn't mind it when I showed up late, offered me some delicious breakfast, and were kind enough to offer me a ride to the airport.
