This is a real retreat. Hidden away behind their house is this large guesthouse. The living room is huge, and there is a dining table in there and another in the kitchen, which is very well equipped for cooking a full meal. The bedroom was separate, but with a pair of sliding doors to the living room and the kitchen which allowed the whole space to be opened up. There was private patio area from the doors in the bedroom, you could sit out in the main garden, or by the side of the canal. Just wish we had more time there to enjoy these options. Trudai and Vincent, and their dog, were most welcoming and we hope that we may have a chance to return and stay with them again, and for a bit longer next time.
A truly unique barn/garage conversion set in such beautiful gardens. We were provided with everything we needed, including a high chair and cot for our baby. Trudai and Vincent were lovely hosts who never intruded on our time and space and left us to our own devices, whilst still making themselves available to answer any questions we had. The large gardens are shared with Trudai, Vincent and Athena (their very friendly and well behaved dog) and we also had our own private terrace for our own use.
We would be very keen to stay here again and will recommend this wonderful place and hosts to our friends.
What a wunderful place. We are very happy to have been in Trudai's guesthouse. We've found a quiet and restfull place with everything we needed. We knew Trudai and Vincent to be there when we had questions and appreciated there patient and carefull being.
Last but not least: Athena is a really nice dog, who accepted our Young and wild dog friendly and wihtout problem.
Wenn you leave this place you want to come back soon.
Value for money.
We had a wonderful time in this little guesthouse! The place was beautifully decorated, with huge windows that allow you to really enjoy the gorgeous space. Trudai and Vincent were kind enough to both pick us up and drop us back off at the Schagen train station. Even though we had some bad weather, it was a treat to be able to unwind and relax here for a weekend away from the city (Amsterdam). Definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to do this, with no real distractions around (there's only one or two restaurants around that we saw). Enjoy the Dutch country side with the two bikes that are provided for you. If you're around in April, the tulip fields are an amazing thing to go see, as well as the various beaches around.
Trudai and Vincent were wonderful hosts and we hope to come back some day!

About the Host, Trudai
Hallo, I am Trudai. I live here with my husband Vincent for several years. We build the Quest-house four years ago with students of the school for Shamandrama.
The name of our Questhouse is Pantheorai: The name means a place where spirit and people can meet each other.
So I work as a therapist , shamanic counselor and psychodrama teacher. I love to make sculpture and more than 3 times a week I go with my dog to the beach after a long walk through the little forrest.
I love this area with good fresh air and the most sun hours in the Netherland.
