The Space

Double bed room in an apt, 500 m.(5 minute walk) from Line A subway station (Porta Furba Quadraro). In 15 minutes you can reach the historical city center of Rome. It is easy and convenient. The apt is just across from a bakery, the neighborhood has every kind of grocery shops, and it's near an important commercial street (via Tuscolana). The room is suitable for 2 people only, has a big wardrobe, it is bright with 2 windows. The apt has got another bedroom, so kitchen and bathroom are shared (house keeping is done everyday). On sunny days you can enjoy my roof terrace ! Walking distance to Parco di Tor Fiscale, and Parco degli Acquedotti where on saturday and sunday you can rent bicycles and get to the appian way. Quadraro is an old and unique roman popular neighborhood that has a special charm. I need to say this is not the richest part of Rome, but it s safe day and night time, and it is Rome ! Free use of the kitchen of course. Breakfast is not included but we offer free coffee and tea.

  • Barbara and Didier made us feel right at home during our trip to Rome. They live in a quiet neighborhood a short metro ride from the city center, but with everything you'd ever need within walking distance. We actually spent more time at their apartment cooking and drinking wine on their rooftop terrace than we did seeing the sights. They were extremely hospitable, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to stay in Rome.

  • We arrived in the midst of a nasty storm with our flight delayed several hours, at 5 in the morning and in spite of this Didier waited up for us and kept in communication during the many delays.

The neighborhood is at something of a remove from the city center, but nice to come back to after the crowds. Also a short walk to the A line, so an easy Metro ride to the center. Near a cheap & friendly cafe and bakery, and several restaurants and grocery stores.

The apartment was very clean and stocked with whatever we needed to prepare a meal.

You do share the place with other renters, but all were friendly.

  • We had a wonderful stay in Barbara's house and we were also very lucky to have met her. Barbara recommended us the best Gelato place in Rome and also an awesome restaurant just around the corner from her place. The house is very convenient to get to and you can get to the nearest train station in less than 10 minutes. However, it would have been better if there was a fan in the room so we could close the windows at night to block out the noises from the street below. Overall, we had a really nice time in Rome thanks to Barbara.

  • What a wonderful place and people ! We've spent 4 days at Barbara and Didier's place, and we would have staid longer if we could, but every trip has an end :).

About the flat, it's really close from the metro station, like 7 minutes by walk.
You've got at least 2 wonderful restaurant close to it also. Grandma's one is a killer if you want to eat well and feel like a young trendy Italian.

About the hosts you'll not find a man with more kindness and knowledge of the world than Didier. Talking with him is a real pleasure and you will always learn something.
It's easy to become friends with them as Barbara's is also a lovely person. Her mother's too from the small encounter we had with her.

Getting your breakfast on the roof is also a must-have !

We'll advice any visitor to take some insect repulsive with them as mosquitoes are kinda angry here. Fortunately there's a net in the room, but double protection is always better against these small things.

If you need to remember one thing, it's go ahead ! This is place and their people are charming ! Thank you Barbara and Dider for everything !

  • Everything was very good) Nice room in the apartment with amazing terrase, where you can have a breakfast or hang out in the evening with the bottle of wine) District is not so picturesque and definetely not central one, but it was really good to come back there after really crazy touristy center. Besides, there is a market nearby, where you can buy fresh fruits, mozzarella and proshutto. Unfortunately we didn't meet Barbara but Didier was very nice) Thank you)

  • Room is very private, clean and big enough for me(one female). Other equipments (bathroom, kitchen) are also clean and useful!
Metro is a little far from home (10 min for walk) reason of my heavy luggage, but it's easy without luggage. It's like joyful taking a walk. And just in front of house, there are lovely, cheep, good tasted bakery!!! So sweet! When I arrived Barbara's home, Her boyfriend welcomed me. He gave me many tips to be helped for sightseeing and being enjoy Rome! I feel they're so considerate people!

  • Everybody like Barbara's place but the thing which i like the most is that you get your room, your kitchen , sitting area and there is independence about it..No disturbance at all. I stayed 3 nights there and it was awsome. Barbara also find a car parking place for us what else do you need in Rome.
    Simply Best..!!
