The Hideaway House is a fully renovated home in the center of downtown, steps from restaurants, shopping, museums, and breathtaking views of Marblehead Harbor & the Atlantic Ocean.
With a two car garage & parking for 6, this home is convenient and private - just 3 miles to Salem and only 16 miles north of Boston.

The space
The Hideaway House is your own private Marblehead home to enjoy! Set smack dab in the middle of downtown, yet far back from the street, enjoy access to all of Marblehead on foot, bike, or boat while having a private, fully renovated retreat for your family and friends. Perfect for a family or two couples, this two bedroom colonial has been completely renovated and decorated to create a modern, stylish, coastal retreat.

One of the only full-home Airbnbs in town to offer central AC for the hot, humid days, the house also has a bright, spacious eat-in kitchen with a large island, Viking appliances, and everything you need to make a great meal or enjoy cocktails and laughs after a dinner at one of the excellent restaurants within a half mile of the house.

There’s high speed WiFi and the cozy living room boasts a new 55” smart tv so you can watch cable, Hulu, and Netflix, listen to your music on the Sonos, or get some work done at the custom built-in desk and work area. In addition to the entire house offering central AC for hot, humid Summer days, there’s a gas fireplace in the living room for cozy Fall and Winter Nights.

The upstairs bathroom has a modern, walk-in shower with new high pressure shower head and hand shower and the closets are filled with new linens, beach & bath towels.

The first bedroom has a king bed with a new memory foam mattress and the second bedroom has a queen bed with a cool gel memory foam mattress and a pull-out twin bed from the reading nook. Both rooms have great closet space and bright windows with lined woven shades.

There is a new washer and dryer in the basement so you can do laundry if you’d like.

The outdoor space includes a patio with Adirondack chairs and cocktail tables surrounded by a perennial garden and new plantings at the front of the property that provide privacy, yet still offers a glimpse to the Marblehead & Essex County Heritage Information Booth. Set up the local custom-made bags boards and challenge your friends and family to a game on the grass or in the driveway. In the winter, the town tree lighting and Christmas Walk Weekend kickoff happen directly across the street!
The two car garage is heated, so if you’re visiting in the winter, you’ll have a clean, warm car waiting for you, and the long driveway offers additional parking for up to 6 cars.

A keyless entry system for the house and garage allows you to come and go without worrying about sharing keys.

This is a centrally located, private, single family home surrounded by mature trees and a brand new cedar fence on both sides of the outdoor space.
You have no neighbors upstairs or down, no shared entrance, no shared parking or yard... it’s just you... and that is nearly impossible to find in Marblehead!

Other things to note
I love Marblehead, Salem, and Boston and have lived and worked (and eaten at a lot of places!) in all three. I’m thrilled to help plan things to do in each place and happy to connect you to local friends and contacts who offer tours, restaurant experiences, on the water excursions, and more!

The location! The Hideaway House is in the center of downtown Marblehead just steps from the main shopping areas, restaurants, museums, and Historic Old Town & the waterfront.

Devereaux Beach is less than 5 minutes by car (or bike!) and the Marblehead Bike Path takes you right into Salem.
There is local bus service steps from the front door (at the Starbucks across the street) and runs through town, Salem and into Boston.

There are endless things to do in Marblehead, Salem, the Essex Historical Trail, and Boston, and I’m excited to help with any questions and day trip ideas.
