I'm José, a young entrepreneur who, for many years, has had the idea of restoring the old farmhouse and cave house of our “Grandpa José” so that it wouldn't be abandoned and forgotten, as no one had lived there for over 20 years. We love to remember those wonderful years, sitting by the fire, when our grandfather José would tell us those stories, always with his unforgettable touch of humor. We didn't want to let more time go by without giving life to that cortijo that meaning so much has for us, so in the spring of 2003 we got to work with the restoration and, after a lot of work, effort and effort we have achieved it, we have brought it back to life to the cortijo and cave house of our "Abuelo José", creating a tourist complex of Casas Cueva called Cuevas Hammam del Abuelo José. The Cuevas Hammam del Abuelo José have been restored to truly offer the essence of rural tourism. Wherever possible, we have preserved the original features, such as the floors and rooms, but with all the comforts of a modern home, so that the feeling of sitting by the fire listening to the stories of our grandfather José is just as we remember it.
