Big 1 BdRm Apt GREAT Sea View 124

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Connaught Rd, Hong Kong, Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong

The Space

A brilliant apartment with full harbour view in one of Hong Kong's last traditional area's within the city. Easy access to most public transport including tram, buses, taxis. 5 min ride to SoHo and Lan Kwai Fong, the entertainment hub of Hong Kong island and lots of nice little restaurants and "old Hong Kong" style local shops around the area.

This one bedroom apartment has 1 full size double bunk beds and a double pull out sofa in the living room with an entertainment system including FREE high speed wireless internet, cable TV with DVD player. The apartment is fully furnished with a bathroom and shower and a full kitchen with electric cooker, refrigerator and water boiler and all the eating and cooking utensils that you'll need. There is an air conditioner for the hotter months.

Even though it's in conveniently located with easy transportation access, the apartment is on a high floor (reached by elevator) and is quiet and peaceful. I hope you enjoy your stay in Hong Kong, one of the most exciting and safest places in the world!

It is near the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park which has a beautiful soccer/football pitch, squash courts and olympic size swimming pool (opening in September). If you enjoy football, you can join casual (website hidden) for nearby matches. There is a small gym on ground level. The apartment is also just a 10min walk from SoHo district and 5 minutes to the Macau Ferry Terminal.

My helper Joel lives nearby and can assist if any issues arise during your stay.

Check In
  • Jason is a very professional host, promptly replying to any inquiry.
The apartment was clean and fairly central, not "Soho central" but an easy and pleasant ten minutes (15 at most) walk to Central/IFC (or a HKD40 cab ride).

  • Stayed at apartment for 19 days. Everything went fine with Jason's Mom Veronica answering all our requests extremely promptly. Internet and air conditioning worked well. Hot plate, microwave and refrigerator is a plus. Bought the first big bottle of water and refilled with cooled, boiled water afterwards. The biggest plus is that the unit faces the harbor and not another building. The MTR station is about 10 to 15 minutes away but we usually take the "ding-ding" (tram) as its the cheapest at $2.30HK one way, any distance. It is more crowded and takes longer but we got to enjoy all the scenery. Hope to meet Jason next time and many thanks for a great experience.

  • Super location, just a short taxi from Central or tram or bus, and Jason and his mother went over and above to make my stay there enjoyable. That is always appreciated when you are overseas. Had great sleeps there, as noise was my worry coming from a country town (Canberra) and the AC did the job perfectly. PLUS the WIFI kicked the YMCA's effort out of the park, so (website hidden) video back to OZ was fast and reliable. Niiiiiice AV set up there as well. Totally recommend it and the area. Mucho thanks, Roger

  • Jason was helpful with our requests and friendly. The apartment was very clean. It is quick & easy to get into Central from the apartment either by bus or tram. You can also get an E11 bus from/to the airport which stops 5 minutes walk from the apartment.

  • We (a couple with two boys) spent almost a whole month in this apartment and had a very good time there. Jason and his Mum Veronica gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful during our stay. The apartment is clean and has a good layout and although the bathroom and the kitchen are a little old, everything's well kept. Our kids loved the swimming pool and the playground in the park nearby. We liked the feeling of being in a normal Hong Kong neighborhood, at some places a little run down, but kind of charming with all this dried sea food shops. The traffic in front of the house didn't bother us that much, once you're up in the 6th floor of the apartment, it's just a wave that flows by down there.

Because of the school of our boys we had to change our plans and leave a month earlier, so it was a bit a difficult situation and emails with Jason went back and forth. But altough Jason had to do some extra work with us by dealing with airbnb, he was very understanding so that everything turned out well for us, we really appreciate!

  • Booked this apartment for my friends. Apartment was decent for a couple weeks of stay in Hong Kong. Location is fairly convenient. Jason was quick in responding to inquiries and emails. Highly recommended to go with one of Jason's properties.

Reviews from my friends who actually stayed at the apartment: quiet and comfortable. It would be helpful if 2 sets of keys were provided for convenience. It would also be nice if an extra roll of toilet paper was provided. There was only half a roll provided at check-in.

  • bright spacious apartment. The bathroom is a bit old but it works.
the staff, Joel, is very helpful.
note: the building has elevator, but to get to the elevator from entrance gate, there are 20 steps of stairs, and they are pretty steep. So if you are not a light traveler, these 20 steps of stairs can be a pain to log your suitcases up and a bit difficult to log your huge heavy suitcases down the steep stairs.
    Overall: recommended

  • We stayed at Jason's place for 3 days and it was great despite the rain and the cabby dropping us at the wrong place. But after all that it was smooth sailing. The apartment and the area is perfect and close to Central where everything is. What we loved was that we could prepare our own meals especially breakfast and the apartment is very clean and comfortable, just big enough for the 3 of us. Although i didnt get to meet Jason personally; him and his mother were great hosts and very helpful and i would definitely recommend them and their apartments to stay in during your travels. We would no doubt stay here again the next time we are back in Hong Kong.

  • Jason and his family are excellent hosts. Jason's mom was so proactive in making us comfortable. Jason was very considerate, especially when something came up and I had to ask for help. His brother dropped things off when the weather got cold. I would recommend them any time. They are professional and very personable.

I've enjoyed traveling to different parts of the world my entire life and absolutely love meeting locals at each place I visit to get first hand knowledge of the destination. I've made many friends across the globe and look forward to visiting them each time I'm back in the region. I've called Hong Kong my home for the past 30 years, this is absolutely a brilliant little place with so much local flavor and western influences in this Chinese city. I look forward to meeting lots of overseas friends and pointing out the many local favorites so every visitor has a chance to experience the best of this great city. Happy travels! Jason
