Big 1 BdRm Apt GREAT Sea View 124

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Connaught Rd, Hong Kong, Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong

The Space

A brilliant apartment with full harbour view in one of Hong Kong's last traditional area's within the city. Easy access to most public transport including tram, buses, taxis. 5 min ride to SoHo and Lan Kwai Fong, the entertainment hub of Hong Kong island and lots of nice little restaurants and "old Hong Kong" style local shops around the area.

This one bedroom apartment has 1 full size double bunk beds and a double pull out sofa in the living room with an entertainment system including FREE high speed wireless internet, cable TV with DVD player. The apartment is fully furnished with a bathroom and shower and a full kitchen with electric cooker, refrigerator and water boiler and all the eating and cooking utensils that you'll need. There is an air conditioner for the hotter months.

Even though it's in conveniently located with easy transportation access, the apartment is on a high floor (reached by elevator) and is quiet and peaceful. I hope you enjoy your stay in Hong Kong, one of the most exciting and safest places in the world!

It is near the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park which has a beautiful soccer/football pitch, squash courts and olympic size swimming pool (opening in September). If you enjoy football, you can join casual (website hidden) for nearby matches. There is a small gym on ground level. The apartment is also just a 10min walk from SoHo district and 5 minutes to the Macau Ferry Terminal.

My helper Joel lives nearby and can assist if any issues arise during your stay.

  • Location: the flat is about 10 min walk from the nearest MTR station, and 2 mins from a tram station, so I mainly used the tram to get to the MTR to get around. Easy trip to and from HK airport and near the Macau and Island ferry terminals. Also a convenient 15-20 min walk to Soho and Hollywood Rd. The immediate area is known for its seafood stores which are worth a look if you're new to Hong Kong.

Flat: on the 6th floor with view over the road and sea. There are about 20-30 stairs to climb get to the lift. Inside it looks just like in the pictures. A bit dusty but the bed sheets were clean. Perfectly fine for 4 people on a short stay. The front door did not lock, but the metal gate in front did lock.

Response time: very fast. I asked for a second set of keys and Jason's helper came along about half an hour later to deliver them. I really appreciated Jason's fast response times and helpful service.

Laundry: the washing machine stopped at stages and I couldn't work out how to start it on the next cycle. I'm sure Jason would have responded quickly if I had asked how to fix it but I did not have the time.

Shower: turn on 20 mins before using otherwise the hot water runs out about 10 mins into the shower.

Overall: a good experience in a convenient location. Thanks Jason for letting me stay in your flat!

  • Jason's apartment is just as advertised. The photos are spot on. His staff was courteous and readily available if needed (as was Jason, by phone). I enjoyed the location--you can walk to the nearest subway station in just over ten minutes, or directly to Central in about 20 minutes. It's also right beside the tram line. There's a great cafe next door as well.

I have another group of friends visiting HK soon, and will most certainly recommend Jason's place.

  • We stayed one week at Jason's apartment. Everything was exactly as expected based on other people's comments and the pictures shown in the web.

So, I guess not much to add that has not been said already, Jason is very helpful, the apartment is well maintained and its location is great. Of course, it's small, but that's the standard in HK; however, we are a 4 member family and it was pretty comfortable.

One recommendation that I have not seen in any other review: try the Opendoor, a coffee shop located just 15 meters on the right of the apartment; it's the best coffee I have tried in Asia.

  • Stayed with my husband and 3 children, overall we we very happy with the apartment, washing machine did not work which was a bummer but apparently this is getting replaced, we discovered a very cheap laundry service very close where they wash, iron and fold very cheaply! So that worked well! We loved the position, was lovely after we arrived after a 13hour flight to walk over the road to a wonderful swimming pool. We really liked the area felt very safe was fun to explore the area. Air conditioning worked well. Bunk bed was squeaky we ended up putting mattress on the floor to avoid squeaking :) but that was fine nothing to complain about. (We were sensitive sleepers though due to being jet lag time difference. )We were happy with our choice staying here and found jason easy to communicate with via airbnb.

  • Jason's apartment is a wonderful home away from home. It is conveniently located in a safe area and building. Jason is an incredible host, quick to respond, and very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend staying at this property or at any one of jason's places. He takes hospitality very seriously and you will be sure to have a great time under his care.

  • The apartment was comfortable and close to public transportation and the Central Hong Kong area. Jason and his team were exceptional as usual. The WiFi did not work in the apartment when we arrived and his team arranged to move us to another apartment until the WiFi was repaired. It is always "customer first" with Jason.
We will definitely booking with Jason again in the future.

  • The place was exactly like in the photos. Good location very close to macao ferry, buses and trams. Not too far from MTR (10-15mins walk). Taxis from central was only like 20HK $ anyway.

Jason and crew was very fast in communication, and helped out quickly with any questions I had. Highly recommended host.

  • Jordan was very friendly to us and he even told us which restaurant to visit around the apartment. Basically, the room is very clean, with all the toiletries provided as well as wifi is provided. I will definitely stay at his apartment again the next time when I visit Hongkong.

I've enjoyed traveling to different parts of the world my entire life and absolutely love meeting locals at each place I visit to get first hand knowledge of the destination. I've made many friends across the globe and look forward to visiting them each time I'm back in the region. I've called Hong Kong my home for the past 30 years, this is absolutely a brilliant little place with so much local flavor and western influences in this Chinese city. I look forward to meeting lots of overseas friends and pointing out the many local favorites so every visitor has a chance to experience the best of this great city. Happy travels! Jason
