Angel's place is as great as advertised! It's super close to all sorts of cool shops, bars and restaurants and is within walking distance to all the action on 6th street! Angel was lovely and inviting and her chickens were great too! We'd happily go back, Austin is awesome.

Angel did a great job describing the amenities and provisions. My girlfriend and I rode her bicycles all three days. The bikes themselves could use a tune up but we were able to travel roughly 30 miles in 3 days. They definitely saved us from using cabs or renting a car. Even though all three spaces were reserved, we rarely ran into other folks and had plenty of privacy and quiet time at night. Angel made herself available for any questions we had and aided us during a brief interlude when someone was locked out of the house.

Angels place is a good deal in an expensive city, so you get a great place for your travel dollars. The place is pretty basic, but you get everything you need. There's even bikes that Angel will let you borrow if you want to bike around. She has a great taste in antique furniture and eclectic decorations. Check it out!

As advertised. Power went out but Angel was quick with a response saying there was a small power outage in the area. Would recommend.

I love sharing my home with friends and strangers alike. I've lived in Austin for 13 years and am happy to point you to spots off the beaten path (Cathedral of Junk) to the sparkling jewels in the middle of the city (Barton Springs). I'm a User-Experience Designer for a Clean Tech/Energy Management start-up. I love the challenge and rewards of conserving in all aspects of life. I enjoy bike riding, brewing and drinking craft beer, gardening, petting my chickens, sewing and DIY projects, seeing live music, traveling, and eating great food. I've only been to 13 countries and 25 states. I most recently spent a few months in Hawaii living off grid on a living farm that is doing reforestation on the Big Island.
