Our stay in Austin with Angel in her beautiful house was fantastic. The room was all we needed for our short stay and the house was a short walking distance to some fantastic food vans and stores - If you're in town, don't miss Sister Coffee, Micklethwait Craft Meats and Farmacy!
Thanks also Angel for being flexible and accommodating amidst our weather-caused travel troubles!
This was our first Air BandB experience, and we felt that our host made us feel very welcome, and at home. She was very helpful with travel plans, and was able to give us an inside view of Austin. We also enjoyed the neighborhood we were located in. It was very easy to connect to many different locations from where we were staying.
We loved staying at Angel's super cool home. Angel was very nice and great fun. We so enjoyed chatting and getting to know her that we asked her to join us for dinner! She took us to a great place in her neighborhood.
Her home was super tidy and clean. Everything organized for AirBNB folks. The seperate bathroom was a treat too. All amenities available and the bedroom cozy and comfy. We loved having fresh eggs for breakfast from her four lady chickens in the garden.
Angel is a great host, easy going warm and fun. I highly recommend her place plus she has other options to check out like a fun vintage camper that we want to try next time we are in Austin!
Thanks Angel for being a great gal and hostess!!
My friend and I loved staying with Angel for a long weekend in Austin! As it was my first time in Austin I had a lot of questions and Angel was friendly, helpful, and provided excellent suggestions for what to do in the neighborhood and around the city.
The house was lovely, with a large, open kitchen where we enjoyed the fresh eggs from Angel's four chickens in the back yard. We also made use of the bikes she keeps for visitors which was a great way to explore Austin. Room was as it appears in the pictures.
If I head back to Austin again I would definitely stay here again. Her location in East Austin is well situated for quick access to great spots in the neighborhood, and a quick bike ride away from South Congress and downtown.
We really enjoyed our stay at Angels place. It had everything we needed. Comfy bed, nice bathroom and full kitchen which we didn't really put to full use.
Angel was a great host, friendly and full of good suggestions for places to check out.
Getting there by bus from the airport was a piece of cake with her instructions. We used the bikes for getting around which was super handy. Would stay there again for sure.
The house is very cozy, comfortable, and its convenient location less than a mile from the 6th Street was a great plus when we went out for dinner with friends. Angel was a great, welcoming host, we had a chance to chat for a bit and she shared several useful tips that only Austinites know. I would definitely recommend staying at her place to anyone.
Angel was a wonderful host. She was readily available to help with directions, and when we got there she was super nice and eager to help us find the fun spots nearby. The place was really clean, with great decorations, and she even left us fresh eggs and breakfast supplies for the morning. I would definitely stay here again, and next time, use the bikes that she has available. There is so much to see in her neighborhood, we only wish we were there longer!

I love sharing my home with friends and strangers alike. I've lived in Austin for 13 years and am happy to point you to spots off the beaten path (Cathedral of Junk) to the sparkling jewels in the middle of the city (Barton Springs). I'm a User-Experience Designer for a Clean Tech/Energy Management start-up. I love the challenge and rewards of conserving in all aspects of life. I enjoy bike riding, brewing and drinking craft beer, gardening, petting my chickens, sewing and DIY projects, seeing live music, traveling, and eating great food. I've only been to 13 countries and 25 states. I most recently spent a few months in Hawaii living off grid on a living farm that is doing reforestation on the Big Island.
