The Sleeping Indian Guesthouse is in a perfect location, right in the heart of La Fortuna and steps from restaurants and close to tourist attractions. The place itself has a very cool, homey feel and was a good value for the cost. Heidy was very helpful and responsive anytime we had a question about getting to La Fortuna as well as about the different activities to do in the area. My husband and I would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again if/when we return!

Fantastic hosts, very eclectic decor, and wonderful views. The shared space easily fosters conversation and interaction if you desire. The views of Arenal are incredible, and the location is perfect in La Fortuna. You're right in the middle of town, and it's easy to get to/from. I had a great time here, the Sleeping Indian receives my highest recommendation.

Peter was a wonderfully gregarious and generous host. The Sleeping Indian Inn was lovely, charming, clean and tidy, and wonderfully located right in the center of La Fortuna. The daily breakfast at the Lava Lounge was delicious and included bread, butter, ham, a heap of fruit, and coffee. For $2 more I got a side of eggs. Peter kindly helped arrange my transportation to La Fortuna from Monteverde where I was prior. After my visit was over I was continuing my journey to Nuevo Arenal. Peter was kind enough to give me a ride much cheaper than it would have cost me otherwise. All in all, I can't recommend The Sleeping Indian enough. You'll be missing out if you stay anywhere else in La Fortuna!
