The Lodge bed & breakfast is a haven of tranquillity and the essence of Irish hospitality.
We stayed in 5 different Air BnBs on our trip to the UK and Ireland. Anne was by far the best host that we had. I can not say enough good things about her and her B&B- she was welcoming, warm, and made us feel right at home. Our children enjoyed running around in her beautiful yard and playing with her 3 dogs. There is a small pub right around the corner from the Lodge that is full of people from the community, we had an amazing time there. Although a little away from the city center, this is a B&B that should not be overlooked.
Anne was very hospitable. When we arrived in The Lodge, 3 sweet dogs warmly greeted us. We slept in comfortable beds and at the morning we were fully rested. We had a fantastic irish breakfast, huge and full of taste. The house was very clean and there was a lovely garden that Anne cares with love. We were very happy to meet Anne and to spend the night in her beautiful cottage.
Anne was very sweet and attentive! We arrived late around 10 PM and she didn't seem to mind, which was great because I was worried showing up so late. She offered us tea or coffee or soon as we arrived and recommended the pub down the road for a pint. The house and rooms were immaculately clean, warm and inviting. She served a full irish breakfast with all the fixings--so much food! We really enjoyed staying here and would absolutely stay here again! The pups were so friendly and cute, I wanted to snuggle them all night long.
La casa y el jardin preciosa. Además Anne hizo que nos sintiéramos como en casa.
Atenta en todo momento y jugando con los niños, enseñándoles el pequeño huerto y su perritos.
Anne was an excellent host at every turn. She was helpful and accommodating and provided welcome pots of tea and slices of cake.
The Lodge is well located, being just a short distance from the main road between Tipperary and Limerick, yet in a quiet, semi-rural area. The Limerick Junction station and Tipperary Racecourse are close by, as are the small retail centres on the outskirts of Tipperary Town. The local church and historic monument are well worth a visit too.
My en suite room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of the Galtee Mountains in the distance: it was a great view to experience over breakfast too.
Anne is a wonderful host. You will also make friends with her adorable dogs who love to make guests feel very welcome indeed.
I thoroughly recommend The Lodge to all travellers in this area.
We arrived at The Lodge & were welcomed with a wonderful tray of drinks & biscuits & a very warm welcome.
We were visiting family nearby & Anne gave us a lift to the village instead of us taking a taxi.
Such a beautiful location, spotlessly clean & the most wonderful breakfasts.
This is one of the best bed & breakfasts we have ever stayed in & would thoroughly recommend to everybody.
Anne was such a marvellous host & we feel as though we have made a new friend.
Thank you Anne for making our stay memorable & we can't wait to return.
We had a very relaxing time at Maura's place. The house is beautiful and the room is very clean and so pleasant. We brought our dog and her dog and ours had a fabulous time! The garden is absolutely well kept and we sat in her garden for few hours. It was such a nice evening, we bought a bottle of wine and Maura was generously let us use her wine glasses and she even gave our kids few treats! Her place is not only beautiful but Maura as a host relaxes you like you are at home! Breakfast was fabulous and they look after guests really nicely. Asked her about local places to visit and as she suggested us, we went to Lough Gur which was jsut 40-45mins from her place. It was a great idea to go and yes you can trust her words! My kids missed her dog so much that they were almost in tears when we left!
