I will start this review off by saying we ended up enjoying our stay and were able to make it work. However, the place posed a few issues. First off, the pictures and description of the condo were a little misleading in that it said there was a king sized bed and a queen sized bed but it turned out the queen was actually a double bed which (in my opinion) is uncomfortable for two people to share. We had four adults and two babies so we had to do some rearranging and someone ended up having to sleep on the couch, which leads me to my next concern. The couch in the pictures is inaccurate and the couch that was there was much smaller meaning the seating in the living room accommodated fewer people. I have stayed at quite a few airbnbs and they often have small couches that don't provide a comfortable place to hang out with a group so the big couch was something that specifically drew me to this listing. This made it all the more disappointing when the couch was misrepresented. We also had a little bit of trouble with the wifi when we tried to contact airbnb to sort things out.
In the end, I think this is a great place to rent if you have an accurate idea of the place and the furniture included. For the group I was traveling with, the misrepresentations posed a problem. In the end we got a partial refund, Jennifer was willing to give us some money back and airbnb was very helpful in working things out.
Great experience all around. Jennifer couldn't have made it easier for us and the condo was everything we expected.
Great location!!! The house was in great shape and I enjoyed my stay with my family. If you're going to Austin and want a central and convenient place to stay Jennifer's place is a great place.
Jennifer made our stay very easy and pleasant. Her home was perfect for us and the wine and chocolates much appreciated. I would recommend staying here.
We loved Jennifers home. Beautiful 3 story location with a great view. She was helpful at a moments notice. Location is great for defeating the austin traffic and in great striking distance to the main attractions.
This condo was simply perfect for us during SXSW. It was a short 10 min drive to the convention center. The bedrooms are comfy, the living room and kitchen have plenty of space for several people, and everything was nice and clean. We highly recommend Jen and her place!!
I moved to Austin to go to the University of Texas and loved it so much I stayed! I love the outdoor living in Austin. My place is 5-10 minutes from Lake Austin and downtown. The bike path that goes all the way to Town Lake is right outside my door. Great ride down, though bit of a hill coming home. :)
When you visit Austin, make sure you plan to be outdoors a lot. You can take a cab downtown from my place and walk almost everywhere from there. If you have time for exercise, run around Town Lake or rent a stand up paddleboard from SupATX. It isn't expensive and it's super fun!
Great restaurants, clubs, bars, etc too. Some of my favs in Austin are Mexican - Maudies, Sushi - Uchi, Uchiko, Kenichi, Pizza - Home Slice on South Congress.
