West Brae House, Wadebridge offers lovely comfortable rooms, beautiful views of the local countryside and fabulous breakfasts! A tip from our many previous guests - stay more than one night because there's so much to see here!
We have 2 very comfortable double rooms, one with a supremely comfortable superking bed and the other with a standard size but equally comfortable double. Both rooms have tea and coffee facilities, and TV. The rooms aren't en-suite but the bathroom is very close to both rooms and I clean it frequently to make sure it is fresh and sparkly for everyone!
We are happy to accommodate small children (under 5) in the parents room for a small additional cost, either in a travel cot or we can supply a small extra bed. Please enquire for more details.

We are easy to get to by train, bus or car. We have off road parking.
The rooms share a bathroom (cleaned daily) with a bath and great power shower, and complimentary bath products.
Our spacious and comfortable lounge with log fire is available to relax in with a drink or a cup of tea and home baked goodies made by your host. You can watch tv or a film if you want to.
The dining room is a light and sunny room where you can enjoy your breakfast or use in the evening for a take away if you like.
There is no guest access to the kitchen although I can heat things up and provide room in the fridge if required.
Laundry facilities are available for a small fee - always useful if you're travelling around for a while!
The garden has two seating areas that you can take advantage of when the weather is sunny; it's nice to have breakfast outside when it's warm enough. Picnic lunches and evening meals can be provided if you let us know in advance, a fee will apply.
Interaction with guests
We will leave you in peace if that's what you like, or will sit and chat too. We will happily share our local knowledge with you to help you make the most of your time in the area.
Other things to note
We have a cat, Tiggy and a labrador puppy called Jet, so if you have allergies this may be a problem. They are both very friendly, Jet is only young and is currently learning her social skills but she's pretty good!
We ask that guests please refrain from smoking or vaping throughout the house and garden (if you can't do this then please don't stay with us).
Guests do not have access to the kitchen but I am more than happy to heat things up and let you have some fridge space if required. If you wish to bring food back to the house please use the dining room rather than eating in the bedrooms.
Please respect checkout time of 10am unless by prior arrangement.
Please remember it is our home and treat it with respect, no muddy shoes or walking boots upstairs or on the furniture please! If you spill something let us know so we can clean it up quickly rather than letting it dry in.
My husband Richard and I were both born in Cornwall, in Port Isaac (of Doc Martin fame) and I've lived in Cornwall all my life. I love my home and enjoy living in Cornwall because I like being outdoors whenever possible; I like to walk, run, cycle, play golf or just sit outside and drink a good local beer and take in the beautiful scenery which I never tire of. My other passions are travel, learning foreign languages (I speak fluent French and a little Spanish which I am still studying), reading, cooking and baking. I have 4 children, 2 of whom live in Australia, one in Edinburgh and one has stayed in Cornwall. I love animals, we have a cat called Tiggy who we rescued and who has made herself right at home. We also have Jet, a 2 year old black Labrador who is very laid back and will only bother you if you invite her - she loves a tummy tickle! I also adore horses and love to ride whenever I can. Overall I generally love life and like to live it to the full!
I really enjoy welcoming guests into my home, helping people make the most of their time in Cornwall and sharing travelling experiences - I've had some great tips from all around the world! I also love to cook for people so you will get a great breakfast each morning as well as some home baked goodies too! I know you will thoroughly enjoy your stay with us and I look forward to meeting you!
