A large spacious family home close to the Uplands village of Swansea.
One of two available rooms with us with a king size bed under the eaves. Wooden floors, privacy, plenty of storage and a welcoming tea /coffee tray in the room.
A large spacious family home close to the Uplands village in Swansea, shops, restaurants, coffee / cafe culture, transport, university and hospital.
We have two separate large bedrooms and separate loo on the top floor (eaves) of the house with bay and tree lined church on either side. The shower and bathroom is on the floor below - a short walk down a flight of stairs.
Internet, bedding and utilities included. Laundry amenities available to guests staying for extended periods of time (not one or two nights).
No party animals or overnight guests. Smokers are welcome to use the garden. Must be OK around dogs and a cat.
Parking available directly outside the front door and around crescent opposite the house (more details on arrival). Use of family kitchen and lodger fridge for guests wishing to stay for longer periods of time.
Toast, porridge, cereal and copious amounts of tea and coffee, homemade jam, dried and fresh fruit all available on a self service basis in the kitchen at a time to suit you.
Charges do not include additional food - but there is a large fridge so when you want to cook up something rather than go out then you're are free to do so (as long as you clear up after yourself - dishwasher handy!).
In response to guest comments on sketchy wi-fi signal, we've recently installed a booster up to the accommodation floor so things are much improved.
Ideal guests would be personable, friendly, respectful and clean.
If you're looking for a warm and welcoming home to stay in, please do get in touch! Previous guests return when in town so you can't get a better recommendation than that!

Interaction with Guests
I work from home so we're generally around all day and enjoy meeting and greeting our guests who are welcome to join us in our large kitchen around the table. We're also happy for guests to hibernate in their rooms too - flexible either way.
This is a grand old Victorian house overlooking a college with a Swansea bay vista on one side and the St James's tree lined crescent and church on the other.
Bus routes close by. The town centre is a 15 min walk away.
Other Things to Note
We know our prices are very reasonable. There's no catch. This is a family home extending a welcome to guests who would rather not stay in an impersonal hotel environment.
No party animals, smokers are welcome to use the garden. No drugs, no bad language - this is a family home. Please do not remove anything you did not bring with you or your invoice may increase even after departure....
I am one half of a professional couple with a teenager, lurcher and domineering cat in the mix.
Stewart, Zac and I welcome guests from around the world to stay in our home which is best described as an eclectic happy mix of shabby chic, recycled, antique and retro tastes.
I work from home which its important to say doesn't pretend to be a hotel..... but we do have a comfortable welcoming place to base yourself home from home - something we always look for when we're away ourselves.
