Come enjoy the magic of Guemes Island. Our West Beach Boat House sits directly on the beach with miles of shoreline to explore. It's a paradise filled with eagles, herons, seals, otters, fishing boats, seashells, agates, and incredible sunsets. You will never want to leave.

The space
The cottage started out life as a boat house built in the 1950's. Complete restoration and remodel was finished over the last few years. The Boat House has a reclaimed cedar ceiling, comfy California King Bed and full kitchen. It is decorated with antiques and coastal decor in an eclectic style.

Feel free to bring your bikes, kayaks, paddle boards or fishing gear (license required). The salmon actually run along this beach every few years. If your lucky you can enjoy a morning cup of coffee while catching a salmon out your sliding door.

Aside from the endless beach combing, there is an enjoyable short hike to the top of Guemes Mountain to be rewarded with beautiful views of Canada, Mt Baker, and the San Juan islands.

There is a small restaurant/bar on the island which occasionally has live music; but you can purchase groceries in Anacortes before jumping on the ferry.

Sunsets are picturesque. We also offer a nice and cozy fire pit to enjoy in the evenings.
