Clean apartment with everything you'd need included within. Location is very convenient to all of the restaurants and nightlife of SouthBeach -- we found we could easily walk to all of our activities and had a great time over New Years! Not apartment specific but the weather in late December/early January was mind blowingly good -- 80 degree days and strong sun! Also not apartment specific, but we found that we were able to make use of the pools of several miami beach hotels even though we weren't guests, which made for a break from the beach.
The one drawback is that the immediate area is a little bit rundown, like much of southbeach away from Collins ave appears to be (at least based on my brief trip), and the lobby/common areas of the building are similarly run down.
Apartment was great and communication with the owners was excellent! Only downside is that the apartment can be a bit noisy in the morning, since the windows are facing Washington Ave. But it's South Beach, so that's to be expected...
El departamento es impecable, tiene todo lo necesario para pasar un tiempo muy agradable. Tiene todas las comodidades, y es tal cual lo cuenta en la descripcion.
Jennifer/ Audrey were very helpful, offering up tons of information about the surrounding area. A parking spot issue arose and was resolved very quickly. (When reserving be sure to request parking spot). Everything was exactly as depicted in photos. The best part the place was spotless and quite. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.
We stayed for 5 nights in this nice little gem in South Beach. The studio apartment has been renovated very recently. It was spotless and everything is new, the bathroom, the kitchenette, WiFi all very efficient. The air con was a bit noisy but worked well. It is located in a quite old building, there is the elevator and, very important an assigned parking space (we rented a car). The location is absolutely perfect, two blocks from Lummus Park in the Art Deco district, short walk from Espagnola Way and Lincoln Rd.
We would definitely recommend and come back again for our next stay in Miami!
This was my first AirBnB experience and I must say that it was an excellent one. Everything about Jennifer's place was exactly as advertised. The location was perfect for my weekend activities and was a very short walk to the beach. If I am ever back in South Beach, I will definitely try to stay here again.
My main point of contact was Audrey (I hope I heard/spelled that right), who was very polite and prompt in her responses via text, phone call and on Airbnb messaging. Prior to getting to Miami, she had fully prepared me on what to expect.
Upon arriving in Miami, Audrey patiently walked us through the process of getting into the building, finding the unit, and stayed on the phone with me until we had physically entered the unit. She was super understanding of the fact that we got in later than we had initially expected and stayed up quite late waiting for my phone call - which I really appreciated.
The unit itself was quite spacious, nicely decorated, bright, well-equipped with all sorts of amenities and CLEAN! This was a welcome surprise since the building itself was not super impressive to look at (kind of dingy and dark). The amenities listed on the listing page all checked out for the most part. The only things that did not go as expected were:
1) "Free parking on premises" - apparently the parking space that belonged to the unit was unavailable. However, Jennifer/Audrey had left daily street parking passes and a map of available street parking on the dining table for us to use for the duration of our trip. Parking in/around the area was a bit of a hassle, but it worked out alright for the most part.
2) "Elevator in building" - from the day we arrived to the day we left, the elevator would only work sporadically, so we would often have to walk up and down 4 flights of muggy, sticky stairs (with luggage). Not a deal breaker, but definitely unexpected.
3) Since the unit was directly on Washington Ave, it did get a bit loud at times.
All in all though, this was a great first-experience with Airbnb and with Jennifer/Audrey. Having such a conveniently located, tidy, comfortable and affordable living space definitely contributed to the enjoyment of our trip.
Would highly recommend to anyone considering a trip to this area.
Thanks again Audrey and Jennifer!
