A restored and modernized 1950s homestead cabin, curated with carefully and artfully selected furniture, interior design, artwork, housewares, and linens. The Outlands is entirely off-grid (solar power!) and located on 5 acres of private, endless desert landscape in Joshua Tree, CA. This is a place like no other, and the perfect place to have a peaceful, mindful retreat.

The house is situated on 5 private acres, which is perfect for stargazing and gathering inspiration. The house is a perfect getaway for an artist, a couple, or a small group of friends.

The main house has two bedrooms: a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and a second bedroom with a double bed. In the living room, you'll find AC/heat, a wood-burning stove to warm the house and provide ambiance.

The kitchen is fully stocked with a coffee maker, microwave, two burner electric stove, cooking supplies, and a complete set of dishes and kitchenware. Additionally, there is a charcoal grill available out on the deck.

Outside, you'll find a dining area, as well as rocking chairs and a propane-powered fire pit to sit around. There's really nothing better than turning on the fire and enjoying the view.

In addition to the main house is the Casita—a smaller secondary building with a couch-bed, outdoor shower, and private deck.

The western half of the property is naturally landscaped; you can see all of the life that the desert has to offer.

While you do have the benefit of being in a quiet area of Joshua Tree, you're only 10-15 minutes away from all of the sights in the area, including the park, Noah Purifoy Art Museum, Pioneertown, and all of downtown!

Guest access
You'll have full access to the house, the Casita, and the surrounding 5 acres of property.

Other things to note
A coffee maker is available in the kitchen for your convenience, as well as a full set of cookware and a (110v) 2-burner stove, as well as the grill out on the patio. Keep in mind that there is a microwave but no oven or toaster.

WiFi is provided. Due to the desert location of the property, WiFi is not always as reliable or as fast as guests may be accustomed to in the city.
