Sutton on the Northside of Dublin city is a beautiful, scenic area which runs adjacent to the seashore. The area was originally where wealthy city traders had their weekend homes by the sea. A coastal walk runs from this property to close to the city centre. The famous Hill of Howth boarders the area on the opposite side.
Pubs, shops, restaurants, supermarket and a host of leisure amenities are all close by.
There is a Dart light rail train station 300 metres from the property. Trams run to the city centre approximately every 25 minutes. Journey time is 17 min. This tram continues to the southern oustskirts of the city in one direction or to the tourist area of Howth in the opposite way.
If you prefer to travel by bus, Dublin Bus run a service to the city centre from the area. The nearest bus stop is 4 minutes walk away.
However, bus or train will not always be necessary! The district is well served by restaurants, pubs, shops and amenities which can be accessed on foot!
We will do everything possible to accommodate specific request that you might have prior to arrival.

An affluent, picturesque neighbourhood adjacent to the seashore. The house overlooks a lovely public park. Only 17 minutes to the city centre on the DART train. Train station is only 300 metres away.
The seaside suburbs of Howth and Malahide are close by and well worth a visit.
For the energetic types, a dedicated walkway runs parallel to the coastline from our area to close to city centre.
There are a number of lovely beaches in the vicinity.
The DART commuter tram will get you to the city centre in 17 minutes. The station is only 300 metres from the house and trams are very regular. If you'd prefer to take in the view, there is also a bus service along the coast road into the city.
If you have rental cars, there's ample parking space in the driveway.
What about the old reliable method of transport? There are lots of local shops, pubs, restaurants and amenities within walking distance.
Other Things to Note
We are pretty sure that this house won't disappoint. Just have a read of the reviews from our previous guests.
We are always willing to accommodate individual requests...just ask!
We have a few common sense rules...
1. As would be standard in any AirBnB property, we ask that you would respect it and not cause any unnecessary damage.
2. This is a quiet residential area. We ask that you respect our neighbours by being conscious of your noise level in the house. Parties, loud music or excessive noise are absolutely forbidden.
3. Smoking is not permitted in the house.
4. We ask that you make yourself at home and enjoy your stay!
We were a family of 7 people and a toddler (2 years old) wanting to celebrate christmas all together in Dublin. We absolutly enjoyed our stay in Sean's house. This big but very warm and modern house is perfect for a big group or family and totally adapted to young children (closets and stairs safety protections as mentioned in description)
We had previously required Christmas' decorations to avoid bringing our own christmas tree and decorations and Sean quickly confirmed that he and his wife will do their best to decorate their house. As expected, the house was very charming and well decorated.
The surrounding of the house is as well very nice, very close to the sea, where it's nice to have a long walk. The grocery shops and pubs and DART station are very close as well (5-10 minutes walk maximum)
Our Halloween weekend in Dublin was extra special as result of our stay in Sean's clean and lovely home. He was very accessible for questions and suggestions, including activities for children. The neighborhood is pleasant and safe--our son and granddaughters (5, 7 yrs) had a great time trick-treating and came back with bags (!) of candy. Sean was exceedingly accommodating and welcoming. We would definitely consider staying there again if in Dublin.
I stayed in Sean's lovely home for 4 days in late september with my big family of 12. The house is nice, clean and very suitable for a big group. It is situated in a nice and quiet neighborhood close to the DART line with easy access to the center of Dublin.
Sean was very helpful and interested in our stay.
I would happily return anytime for another vacation - if Sean would wan't me as a guest again :-)
PS. Don't miss Mc Hugh's restaurant - it's on Sean's list along with all kinds of other useful information.
Sean's lovely home is in a great location by the coast, and convenient for both the airport and city. It's a quiet, peaceful area where you can enjoy a stroll along the seafront, yet the train station is just steps away, which gives quick and easy access to the city centre. The lovely little fishing villages of Howth and Malahide are nearby too, and are definitely worth a visit.
The house itself is spacious, stylish and spotlessly clean, with the added benefit of its own garden, where you can relax with a nice glass of wine after a hard day's sightseeing/exploring! Sean is an absolute gentleman and a real pleasure to deal with, and was even kind enough to facilitate an early check-in. Great house, great location, great hosts - highly recommended! Thanks for everything, Sean ;-)
The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We stayed here while in Dublin for a team building work event. The house is absolutely fabulous, its immaculate and has everything you need for your stay. The hosts were just lovely down to earth people. They kindly left us a booklet about the house and leaflets for the area detailing everything you need to know and more. We highly recommend this house and would stay here time and time again.
I'm Sean. My wife and I live in this home with our young son. However, we are away a lot and are happy to let out our home to visitors to Dublin. We are flexible about with our living arrangements and we can make the whole house available for your enjoyment.
