WE ARE OPEN!!
We had to change a lot, but yes we are open. Both tipis are available to rent nightly. They are however, empty. You must provide all essentials yourself. This means all camping equipment and eating utensils. We provide a BBQ grill, outdoor chairs and indoor & outdoor fire pits.
We provide a porta potty & disinfectant spray which must be used after each use of the porta potty.
If this sounds OK to you we would love to host you!
Sincerely,
Aj & Lisa Rising

The space
This is camping without all the set up and breakdown. The tipi is all set up & ready for you, but it is empty. Please make sure you provide all of your own camping equipment.
There is a large main fire pit & the smaller tipi has its own free standing fire pit.
There's 1 BBQ grill which includes the regular grill & a single burner.
We provide outdoor chairs which are the zero gravity kind. These are great for star gazing!
There is a port a potty at the site. This must be disinfected after each use with the spray we provide.

Guest access
We have 40 acres so no close neighbors. Its all fenced and gated, feel free to explore.
The porta-potty its about 250 ft away with a solar lit trail and we installed a light on the inside.

Other things to note
We now offer Redtail Hawk Educational Presentations. All proceeds go to caring for the Hawk. Its a minimum $50 donation to the Master Falconer.

We are 16 miles away from the Chiricahua National Monument, and a lot of other great places. We are the end of a very quiet dirt road … lots of quiet and no light pollution for awesome stargazing. Camping in a Tipi is awesome, not perfect, but a great experience. Just remember you're still camping.
We are 1 hour from Bisbee, Tombstone, Douglas, Wilcox and Benson. 1.5 hours from Tucson, Sierra Vista and Safford.

Hello all you good people! Well I'm free spirted easy going traveler, very friendly, respectful, good natured people person. Just sold my business in Key West "Kayak Kings" and returned to my beloved Chiricahua Mountains. I lived here 20 years ago in a Tipi on 40 acres and loved it! I'm chef by trade but have been a kayak wilderness guide in Alaska and Key West. I have also bartended here and there. I also ran an Airbnb houseboat in Key West named Free Spirit for 3 years. Last hurricane took her. Wish I still had the journal. I had lots of happy guests, I strive to make their visits as fun as possible. I'm very much at home in the wilderness , in or on the ocean, rivers and lakes. I lived on and worked on sailboats for 8 years while I was in KW. I've been working in the hospitality business all my life. I focus on being the best I can be when I'm working. When I'm not working I'm playing. I love to ride my Harley and go exploring on my four wheelers. I also love kayaking, and I plan on getting some. I also love spending time in Bisbee or Tombstone. What I love about hosting is meeting great people from all around the country and all over the world. We will do whatever we can to make your visit here a great and memorable one. Life is good! Sincerely AJ
