Palace room is situated in our family stone house in the heart of the historical centre of Dubrovnik, but in very calm neighbourhood. The room is 1 to 5 minutes walking distance from restaurantes, beaches, stores, banks, ATMs, post office, pharmacies, tourists agencies, souvenir shops, cinemas, museums, historical & cultural monuments, churches, cultural events, (theatre, concerts, summer festival performances....), taxi and bus station...
Here is direction how to find the apartment: Arriving from the airport, there is a comfortable bus (about 5 EUR per person) just at the exit door of the airport building which will take you directly to the Pile station (it doesn't stop to the other stations), or you can take a taxi ( about 30 EUR). After arriving to Pile station you have to walk (3-5 minutes walking distance) because cars are not allowed to enter into the Old Town. Pass through the city gate, please, and go down the main street Stradun and turn into the 6th street on the right side, Siroka street (it means wide, broad street because it's wider then the other streets, except Stradun). At the top you will see Domino restaurant which is situated at the bottom of our house. Please, climb the stairs up to the no 7 (on the left side) and - you are welcome!
Other Things to Note
Cars are not allowed to enter into the Old Town but there are several parking places just near city walls where you can safely park your car (3 min.walking distance to our house) or you can park in public garage (10 minutes walking distance from our house).
Smoking is allowed at the terrace area but not in the room!
Please do not put wet towels over wooden parts of furniture! Thank you in advance!
Please turn off the air conditioning when you're not in the room! Thank you in advance!
The whole experience of staying right in the centre of old Dubrovnik was amazing. Its very quiet despite being so busy and the restaurant below was hardly noticeable. even the regular bells from nearby church were endearing even with the windows open...the windows are double glazed though. There is a small family dog.
Remember not to take a heavy case as there are plenty of steps to climb to the apartment as indeed there are all around the walled city. Instructions to find the apartment were excellent. There are no cars in the town so you have to walk a way to get to and from the transfer coach. For some reason the returns go from the cable car station which is up the hill someway. Buy tickets in advance and check times.
Local buses are good to get about on while youre there..
Ivana was a very welcoming host and had some lovely suggestions on where to spend time, the food festival was on at the time of our visit. A trip to Hotel More where there is a cave bar next to the sea where you can watch the sun go down.
We had a bathroom to ourselves which was small but adequate. I would recommend Ivana as a host and Dubrovnik as a destination...you cant take a bad picture!
Ivana is lovely and we felt welcomed.
Ivana was an Absolutely delightful host where nothing was ever too much trouble when it came to her guests. The apartment was very well located to reach everything in Old Town, was spotlessly clean and well taken care of and I would give more than 5 stars if it was possible. VERY highly recommended.
Ivana was a great host. Very helpful and gave us great advice.
Lovely terrace, breathtaking view from 'my' room, the cosy and elegant room! (We spent an hour to take photos of them) Most of all super kind host :) I had really nice staying here. She did all I need before I asked and she always checked if I needed something. Laundry service and sufficient hot water! You don't need to worry about next person who is having a shower. (It was really important for us. Before this apartment... I always had to worry about it in other accomodation in Croatia.)
Location is also perfect. It's very near Pile gate. It's exactly same with the description. You can go anywhere easily.
Thank you for everything to Ivana & Stjepan agian. They are very nice hosts.
The location of this Airbnb is amazing, very close to great food and sites to see. Ivana was very accomadating and allowed us to leave our bags as we arrived by ferry very early in the morning. The room was very clean and the view was great. Ivana was great at providing us a little history and info on things we should see since we only had one full day
Ivana kindly let us store our luggage in her terrace for a few hours. The "Game of Thrones" gipper also helped us carry a suitcase up to her door.
Croatians are a generous group and Ivana was among the best.
The room was inspirational, as well as comfortable. I recommend it highly.

Hello! Greetings from beautiful Old Town of Dubrovnik ! We offer you to be our guest and to feel unique experience of living in a Renaissance - Baroque environment, in the house which has been built by my grandfather in year of 1902. This is the youngest house within the city walls and my family owns it for generations! Welcome and spend the most pleasant and happy holidays!
