Welcome to the land of morning calm! Well…. not so calm these days as it is one the most “outspoken” nations in terms of IT technology, entertainment, fashion, science, sports, etc.

Unique flavors, exotic interiors, and diverse nationalities help to make Itaewon befittingly ‘the global village in Seoul.’

As always a great host and perfect little nest for my needs when traveling to Korea, clean cosy little apartment and close to the main town. I love this little place like my second home now.
The apartment is fully furnished with heated floors which was great during our winter visit. Corey provides a handbook which is very helpful for 1st timers in Itaewon. Location was superb with easy access to food and shops on the Main Street. Getting around was very easy as well as the Metro is just a few minutes away.
An overall great experience and although the host was not there we never felt abandoned at any time.
A great place to stay if you're visiting Itaewon.
We felt safe and secure even when we came back from late night dinners. Very nice neighbourhood with lots to explore.
Will definitely recommend this great find to my friends.
We had a pleasant stay at Corey’s apartment from 25 to 30 November. We feel these are the plus points for staying at Corey’s apartment:
1. It’s situated on the first floor (guests do not need to lug suitcases up a stairs etc). tip: have the cab drive up straight to the apartment door.
2. Keypad entry means no hassle with keys for entry (very useful during cold winters when you want to get indoors asap).
3. Kitchen is equipped to handle simple cooking, and laundry + dryer is available (clothes can be washed and dried reasonably within 2.5 hours).
4. Stable wi-fi. (facetime and youtube without problem).
5. Floor heating worked well.
6. Very clean apartment, smelled good and very cosy and welcoming.
Additionally, for Muslim guests (since we are a Muslim family) – you may be pleased to note that Halal eateries are available nearby (kebab stalls, middle eastern restaurants etc). If you are looking for Halal Korean food, Muree restaurant is a street away, and within walking distance (10 mins). The mosque is nearby too.
Overall, fantastic stay and no problems encountered. We would definitely stay at Corey’s apartment again if we are in Korea. Thank you Corey!
Great apartment in Seoul. We were able book Corey's place really last minute, and stayed there for a week. Great location, comfortable apartment. Corey gives very precise and easy directions to his place, which is very convenient to the seoul metro. Also great that it is a proper two separate bedroom apartment, unlike a lot of places advertised here for seoul.
Everything was absolutely perfect and clear. Corey made our stay really smooth. The apt is clean and very comfortable and has everything you need, from the fridge to the washing machine. The location is also very handy and central, so that it does cost much to go to one side or the other of Seoul. Thank you again, we fully recommend the apt for any journey in Seoul.
My travel buddy and myself spent 7 nights at Corey's rental apartment, which is neat and tidy.
The living room, kitchen is nicely furnished. There is wifi connection, which is relatively stable.
There are towels and hairdryer provided. Did not use the toiletries and towels as we bought our own. On our second day, the toilet choked, was unsuccessful trying to un-choke it on our own. Luckily, Corey dropped by to check on us, and help us to un-choke it. Can't express how thankful we were..
Locating the apartment took some time, but the map that Corey provided was helpful. However, a point to note, there were some hilly, uneven paths which could be a challenge if you are traveling with a large luggage.
The washer/dryer was most useful for us, and the instructions on the manuals was helpful during our stay.
Would stay in his apartment again if I return to Seoul.
Alice and HuanYan.
We (2 persons) spent five nights at Corey's rental apartment, which is small, clean and neat as a pin. The living area, kitchen and two bedrooms are simply but adequately furnished, and smell pine-fresh. Both bedrooms have a single bed each, but only one has a wardrobe. Bonus points for sufficient power points around the house and stable wifi connection.
We didn't try cooking but the kitchen equipment looks serviceable. The toilet cum shower stall is clean and roomy enough and the water heater works great. Towels, hairdryer, indoor slippers and toilet paper are provided, but toiletries are not so bring your own. We couldn't find an iron despite there being an ironing board. Do clean up after yourselves as there is no housekeeping service.
The rental unit sits on the ground floor, nestled under the owners' main living quarters. However, thanks to the unit's proximity to the main gate, and the unobtrusive house owners who were friendly but politely kept to themselves, we might as well have checked into a hotel for all the privacy we enjoyed. The street is quiet and dark at night but we felt safe traipsing back even in the wee hours.
Locating the apartment took some guesswork and a bit of trekking initially. The area is typically Korean: hilly, unevenly paved, and lacking street signs. How to know you're on the right track: You should be headed downhill immediately after turning off from the main road. After walking about 3 minutes, you should pass "The Chocolatier" shop, and another 2 minutes later you should reach a two-storey antique shop with an eye-catching balcony display of large carriage wheels and pommel horses. At this point, turn right and walk (uphill this time) until you reach a green gate - and you're there!
It is worth visiting the aforementioned antique shop located down the street from the apartment. The epitome of a perfect mess, the shop seems almost alive the way its rooms appear to birth even more rooms, each impossibly more and more crammed with treasure (junk?) from floor to rafter.
It was a really nice apartment in a quite neighborhood. Very clean. The manual with the instruction was send prior the arrival and several manuals were in the apartment, which was really nice as you could always check the information as a reminder.
I would recommend it to everyone!
El apartamente está muy bien, es sencillo pero tiene todo lo necesario para estar cómodo en Seoul durante unos días. Muy recomendable!
