Welcome to "Little Isabella"! Our cabin is located within a 15-20 minute walking distance to the lake right off of the main highway. Situated in a quiet canyon with picturesque views in every direction, our cabin is perfect for couples, families, and small groups. Each room features vintage and custom made furniture. We love this location because it's close to everything the Kern Valley has to offer. We invite you to come relax and reconnect in the beautiful scenery.

The space
“Little Isabella” is an adorable 550 square foot cabin with a unique layout. We are located just 3 minutes to the lake by car, or 15 minutes on foot!

-Our favorite part of this cozy cabin is the spacious loft, which features a gorgeous sleeping space for four or more. The certified non-toxic memory foam queen bed is made from “upcycled” pallets custom made locally. The two twin beds are vintage solid wood, topped with comfortable bedding and mattresses.

-The lower floor invites you in with a large pellet stove that is sure to keep you warm and toasty in the winter.

-The kitchen is a good size with ample counter space in case you want bake or cook something during your stay. We are set up with a small fridge, stove, microwave, toaster oven, cooking utensils, dining set and flatware. The sink is directly facing the lake with a beautiful view to the hills, trees, and water .

-In the dining area we have another gorgeous view that will delight you while you enjoy your meals.

-In the bedroom we have a comfy custom twin size pallet bed with a vintage crate nightstand. The window opens to an enchanting vision of vibrant green grass framed by native rocks.

-Our next favorite attribute of the property is the water well, because it provides us with natural chemical free water. We live in the city most of the year, and can tell you that the showers here are amazing! The well water leaves your skin and hair cleansed and renewed unlike anything else!

-“Little Isabella” is set on 2.5 acres of natural beauty. We have several trees on the property, a seasonal babbling creek, and an area for guests to practice yoga and meditate. You can spot wildlife year round right out the windows. The pollution free blue skies and clear starry nights realign the spirit, and invoke a deep appreciation for the gift of nature! We dearly love “Little Isabella”, and The Kern Valley as a whole. It has given us many unforgettable experiences. We know you will love it here too.

Quirks about the cabin:

-the outlets in the bedroom and partially in the living room don’t work.

-although we have AC units in the house, we don’t recommend using them all at once and we don’t guarantee them to cool down the place completely.

Our place is close to everything in Lake Isabella. It’s an amazing area with some of the most friendly residents you’ll find in California. Just a short drive up the 178 takes you to the small town. We love Nelda’s Diner for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Don Sombrero has delicious authentic Mexican food. If you feel like cooking at home Vons is open late and has lots of variety.

There is an array of outdoor activities available locally.
- Hiking
-Fishing
-Swimming
-Jet-skiing
-Rafting/Kayaking/SUP
-Skiing/Snowboarding/sledding (Alta Sierra Ski resort)
-And much more!

We love to visit the vintage/antique shops in the valley. There are many treasures that can be founds at these little shops.

Riverside park in Kernville is great for kids. Located right on the river with a playground and basketball courts.
