Nan was definately not worth the drive, we would have by passed it had we not had a friend to visit in Lampang and we had booked the accommadation already in Nan, there is some interesting Buddas & Temples.
We found Nan a bit quiet and not so interesting, our hosts were very welcoming and the room was comfortable, we stayed in the house with our hosts as the villa was booked already, this was ok but I prefer separate lodgings.
After retiring from a very busy professional life in England my wife and I relocated to Nan , North Thailand. Nan is the family home of my wife Rochaya and we are very well connected within the local
community . We are able to offer visitors access to many areas not normally open to mainstream
The area is steeped with unique traditions, history and outstanding natural beauty. For some 700 years Nan was an isolated independent Lanna Kingdon and although it has been accessible to foreign tourists for several years, it remains largely unspoilt and offers a unique taste of Thai Rural Life
Be assured of a very warm welcome
