Other Things to Note
We do not wholly exclude PETS, but considering our yards we would like to chat with you about that ahead of time. Dogs do not have free roam and will need to be on a leash in the yards during the three season grow period. Sorry. However, the park a block away is full of walkers of all species. For WINTER guests, we live on a snow-emergency route which means we are plowed first and often. Parking around the corner, only during the snow emergencies, is still close and you walk in the back way. We are always on top of snow blowing and snow emergency info.
Check-in is 3pm and check-out is 11am. No smoking indoors. We expect you to make an effort to leave the space as you found it. We'd like to meet you but that doesn't always happen. We request that you communicate with us on your arrival time, in particular if it is late in the evening, and also let us know your possible check out time, especially if it is earlier than 11am. This helps greatly in coordinating our own schedules.
My husband and I took a little baby moon over the weekend here, and we had a great time! I loved that Powderhorn Park was nearby as well as some great little spots to eat, such as Mayday Café, Northbound Smokehouse and Colossal Café. We were able to explore the area and relax, especially in their nice sunroom. Tom and Renee were very accommodating and had everything we could possibly need in the house. It was a perfect little getaway for us! Thank you, Tom and Renee!
I never met the hosts but we had very cordial email and phone communications. The location was described accurately and the neighborhood was fine.
Tom and Renee were great--super-friendly and very helpful. They greeted us when we arrived and met with us again at checkout. They're nearby if you have any questions, and very gracious hosts. The neighborhood is also great: right next to a big park and nearby a good strip of restaurants. The house is cozy and inviting. Really, everything was perfect. I would definitely stay again when in town!
We had a great time at the Sweet Spot! The cottage was unlocked when we arrived and everything we needed was provided. The neighborhood is great - close enough to downtown, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. It was so nice to have a comfortable space to return to rather than an impersonal hotel. We'd definitely go back!
This was our first experience with air bnb and Tom and Renee made it a great experience. Tom called us an hour early and let us know the house we ready and available. Once we got it I was in awe of the cleanliness of the house and how every detail was met for our needs with pets. The house was cozy and warm. We were walking distance to dairy Queen and gas station. A very quick drive to downtown. At the end of our trip Renee stopped by to say a farewell. Tom and Renee were very accommodating to our needs. Thanks for a great visit
Perfect size cottage; wonderfully clean and comfortable. Great coffee! Access and location were great. Thank you for letting our dog come on vacation with us too!
We loved staying at the Sweet Spot! Its located in a fun Minneapolis neighborhood that is centrally located, but quiet and peaceful. The house was clean, colorful, cozy and had everything we needed plus more. This was our first experience using airb&b and it was definitely a good first impression.
I live next door to the cottage we are renting out. We are three here, myself, Mavis and Renee. We are easy, artistic folks that enjoy our yards and good company. We would love to show you how beautiful city living can be.
