Easter Island, Rapa Nui, Te-Pito-Henu or navel of the world, is located in the Pacific Ocean and is the furthest from the mainland. Most importantly, culture is still developing pascuense by the constant practice of the customs of the locals who preserved their ancestors erected Moai.

It is situated Rapa Nui National Park and is the largest city Hanga Roa.

It attracts thousands of tourists each year who come to discover its impressive archaeological sites, natural beauty to enjoy and learn a little more of their culture and traditions.

There is no doubt that these beautiful sculptures made of volcanic rocks are more extensive postal Easter. However, the attractiveness of the options are as varied as the issues raised in this small island of 170 km ² approximately. The results go beyond the eyes of the Moai.

The island is on top of a huge chain that rocks were formed about 3 million years and hiding the 3,000 meters at the bottom of the sea. It was from large volcanic eruptions that have emerged in places of unique beauty in the world, as the Rano Kau and Rano Raraku.

It is so much power concentrated in so small piece of land, for the Polynesians came from distant places s chosen to follow their spiritual rituals. And to enjoy this scenario, the effort is minimal, as the highest point of the island is only 511 meters. It is difficult to understand this mystery.

All this delighted Unesco declaring the island a World Heritage Site in 1995.
