Emily and Brad:We also enjoyed a trip on the canals with Ester and Mark in their sloop. Again we were treated to fabulous hospitality not enjoyed on the mainstream tours. We can thoroughly recommend both the apartment and the canal tour and hope to be able to return for a much longer stay at some stage.

Bruce:For an extra fee if the weather is right and they are available they will take you on a private boat tour of the canals complete with pillows snacks and drinks. You will feel like a movie star and was a highlight of our vacation!

Brian:If you have the chance I would highly recommend the boat tour on Ester and her husband's boat. It was so much fun and we got to see all of Amsterdam by winding through all the canals.

The price includes;

The apartment is very nice and spacious, close to Albert Cuypmarkt and Sarphatipark. A great place to explore De Pijp and Amsterdam. Just note that the city is setting up a new metro line and so affecting the traffic with diversions of tram lines.

Beautiful Apartment right in the centre of De Pipj. Ester met us and showed us around the apartment. She is very warm and friendly. The apartment is walking distance to shops, trams and some attractions. Better still use the bikes that Ester supplies. It is a better way of getting around and riding in Amsterdam is so easy. We had the time of our lives. Thanks Ester.

Ester's apartment is a lovely place to stay in Amsterdam, and it truly is around the corner from very cool bars and restaurants in De Pijp. We couldn't believe how close things were, yet the apartment is very quiet and cozy. Ester was very helpful, and we had a lovely stay.

We had a great stay at Ester's place in De Pijp! Mark met us at check in and was very helpful. There was a great guide for restaurants and things to do in the neighborhood in the apartment. The location of this apartment was incredible - a bakery and small market just at the corner, and a short walk to public transit. We could get anywhere in Amsterdam easily. The apartment is a good size - we had plenty of room to spread out and reorganize our luggage, and we felt right at home. We would recommend Ester's place without any hesitation!

Ester User ProfileEster is a superhost.

I'm the mother of 4 beautiful children, two boys and two girls. We live in Amsterdam for 26 years. Our house is 6 stores high and the first floor apartment and the apartment above (on the third and fourth floor) are now apartments for hire.
Marc, my husband and I design houses and everything inside. Beside architecture I also design huge spectacular cakes for weddings, parties and of course for the birthday of my children!
Three days a week I'm also teacher at the highschool from Amsterdam where I teach students how to design all kind of things. Marc and I both designed the house we live in and the apartments for our guests.
We also built our fantastisch camper (old Mercedes truck) to travel round the world with our kids.
See things, meet people and get inspired is one of my life motto's.
