Welcome to our spacious, bright walk-out suite with high ceilings, situated on the lower level of our house, where we reside in a quiet Peachland setting, adjacent to farmland. Enjoy our seasonal pool, outdoor games area, badminton, and peaceful nights with no highway noise. In summer, soak up the sun; in winter, curl up by the cozy fireplace, watch a favourite movie on Netflix or Amazon or play a board game. Great for mature adults and families.

The space
The bedrooms on the lower floor of our main house are very bright and spacious, and have your own private patio and secluded terrace leading to the pool area. We have a seasonally heated saltwater pool (open Victoria Weekend until the first week of September) and a lawned area with a badminton/volleyball net, both shared with the Carriage House, also listed on this site.

The price is based on the number of guests. We offer one queen bedroom, a daybed for the 2nd guest situated in a separate room, and a second bedroom with two twin beds available for the 3rd and 4th guests. Should the second guest wish to use the second bedroom, we charge extra, but with our day bed in a separate room, it should not be necessary.

The pool table is a bonus for guests with no accompanying children.

We have a barbecue
on the patio, pictures of all can be viewed under photos. I adore gardening, so there is an abundance of hanging baskets and climbing plants on the terrace to be enjoyed, including grapevines.

We welcome children of all ages; however, for more extended stays, for large families or those with several very young children, we recommend our two bedroomed Carriage House, also advertised on this site, which
has a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer-dryer, and private gardens.

For the security of all our guests, we only allow guests included in the booking onto the property, whether or not they stay the night, so rest assured, there will always be a spot available for you by the pool.

Guest access
The entrance is on the lower floor of the main house where we live, and the Terrace/ pathway leading to the suite and pool is for the exclusive use of guests staying in the Poolside Suite.

Other things to note
The Air Conditioner controls are upstairs, where we live, and we would like guests to tell us if they wish it turned up or down.

The suite and amenities are for paying guests only, and we can recommend great locations for you to meet your friends.

We do not allow pets, but we do have a cat and occasionally our son's dog on the property, who like to welcome our guests. If you dislike animals, our unit may not be suitable for you.

Our pool is seasonal, so please check on booking for opening and closing dates during spring and fall.

The pool will be closed during inclement weather, if temperatures go below 15 °C, and during maintenance, which is beyond our control.

There is no lifeguard on duty at the pool, and guests swim at their own risk. The Pool has a diving board, and the deep end is 9 feet deep.

Neighborhood highlights

The Poolside Retreat, set in landscaped gardens and is very peaceful, being next to farmland, but only minutes from the Beach and downtown Peachland. We offer toys for children, plus there is a playground nearby and our lawned areas gives safe outside play. Downtown Peachland boasts 11km of waterfront lined with shops and restaurants.

We fell in love with beautiful Peachland whilst travelling around BC, from the UK in 2007 and decided this is where we wanted to live. A year later we emigrated to Canada purchased the Poolside Retreat in 2009, observing that the Carriage House and spacious suite would be ideal accommodation for visitors. We landscaped the gardens, added our gorgeous pool and in 2013 lawned an area for outside games which we are delighted to say our guests really enjoy too.
