We had a fabulous stay at this wonderful cottage. Full of character and well appointed. Lots of bathrooms and lots of living space. Children were so excited to find a mini adventure playground. Everyone was happy. Two 5 star hotels with restaurants and bars nearby. Locals all very friendly and chatty. We made a boat trip with paddy to slieve league cliffs from teelin, thoroughly recommended. The Donegal bay waterbus also great fun, a sort of live father ted experience. Priceless. All our expectations exceeded
This was a beautiful home in a lovely part of the country. We really enjoyed slowing down our trip for a few days to take in the sights around Lough Eske. We found the house incredibly well furnished and easy to be in; it felt like we were visiting friends! The downstairs didn't seem dark to us at all, and Joe's cousin stopped by several times to make sure everything was going well for us. Donegal town was an easy distance away, though a car is needed, but the Castle across the street had great food and drinks. Very thoughtful hosts, and we'd love to visit again!
We stayed at the Old Sawmill for 4 nights in June. The house & surrounds were full of charm. A little dark on the ground floor but lots of light through the 1st floor. We brought our toddler(1.5years) and dog along, Safe, Secure. Weather was amazing and location to Donegal town was good for supplies. Car needed. Lovely hotel really close by for nce lunch, dinner or cocktails.
